DeLauter is colder than a witch's tit in January after smoking spring training.

Avg: .083 OPS: .350 - 0-2 with 2K on the night so far.

Edit. Finished the night 0-3 with 3K and 1BB.

SSS caveat, but Jonathan Rodriguez continues to hammer down on plate discipline. Strikeouts still ring true, but after an improvement last year and in winter ball and spring training...

In 8 games he has 8BB and 9K, and an overall line of:

.269/.441/.462/.903

Hit his 1st 2024 homer tonight along with two walks.

Yeah, I like that. He's still working on his game, not just hunting HRs. If he does that, he can replace Laureano's OBP, but offers a more serious XBH threat.

That's a pretty disappointing start considering so many returning players, especially hitters. Plus two top prospects in Velazquez and Chourio.

So far, Chourio looks like the real top prospect and Velazquez with 3 more K looks incredibly one dimensional profile quickly. It's not Carson Tucker bad yet, but the start isn't looking good. A teenage 1B who swings and miss, great, let's overdraft him and give him 2.5M

Saw some where that in his TEN total games as a professional, Ralphy Velazquez has 4 doubles and 4 homers... So if he were to play 150 games at that pace, he'd have 60 doubles and 60 homers... Lets make it happen!!!

Why can’t he be Velazquez and see how he turns out kid not even 19 yet, I know back in January a lot of people was on that kid from Wake Forest Kurtz as a potential first pick in the Draft, this we got could turn out better, let’s give him a few years……..
