And Barry Bonds hasn't been able to play baseball in years.
What's your point?
Even using the time machine, he still couldn't run lol

ankle, wrist, oblique and one other injury during that 600 AB.. Half the information ???? How does he hit against LHP's.. the point of the discussion???Carlson is coming off of ankle surgery and hasn't done anything in his last 600 ABs... We aren't trading much for him lol
he doesn't have a point..unless you look under his hat..And Barry Bonds hasn't been able to play baseball in years.

buh-gawk <=== w.i.s...
In my original post I stated that including a prospect like Yanier Arias in a deal would be a good thing. My point in the post you responded to was that I don't believe the Guardians will deal a good ML ready MIFer for low level prospects. I guess that could be inaccurate if they have no needs to fill.A type of a deal..
This is only partially true... in most Guardian deals.. It is the exception that a "low level minor leaguer" isn't included in a deal, usually a never heard of pitcher.. Young Rayner Arias as the "sweetener" for a target such as "bounce back" candidate Mitch Haniger could become the Giants offer to the Guardians for what the Giants need: a young controllable middle infielder.. Haniger is a RHH'ing OF that hits much better against LHP's (typically 50 - 60 points higher). The Giants middle infield needs could be met from the Guardians from one of three or four guys... while the Guardians would be tasked with taking on the 2 years & $ 32 MM remaining on his contract. The SF Giants can "buy down" this remaining liability with cash or with the above mentioned sweetener, a low level minor leaguer.. that shows promise. Both teams win.. The Guardians some now.. and, possibly, much more later.. The SF Giant win now & it's not like they don't have "other" OF candidates to replace the weirdly oft injured Haniger..
How many more weird injuries can Haniger have? hence.. why he would be a bounce back..
Laureano is one of three OF'er.. two are needed.. or at least ONE MORE..You want to give up prospects for a guy we have no clue how his health will be... UNTRUE.. we know his health is going to be 100 % by Spring Training
Laureano is already under team control and has solid career numbers vs lefties and is a stronger defender than Carlson in the OF...
Trading for Carlson makes no sense in my mind, so I am not willing to do it...
It's Rayner.. but, a pick at a nit..In my original post I stated that including a prospect like Yanier Arias in a deal would be a good thing. I wouldn't be upset if they acquired Haniger and I agree that he is a good bounceback candidate and I like your deal. That's the type of deal I envision them making if a low level prospect is included.
Sorry, got my names mixed up.It's Rayner.. but, a pick at a nit..
They do have needs to fill..

You're unwilling.. CHECK..
-you were unwilling to trade Bieber before the start of the season
-you were unwilling to trade Gimenez before the start of the season
-you were unwilling to trade AMED before the start of the season
-you were unwilling to trade for Riley before the start of last season
-you were willing to trade for Murphy before the start of last season
How is that record looking????
There are NUMEROUS statements from you saying Amed would be in cleveland for the 2023 season..
You don't know what the Guardians offered or if they made an offer for Murphy.. quit bullshitting..
The request the A's made from Cleveland is well-documented.There are NUMEROUS statements from you saying Amed would be in cleveland for the 2023 season..
