Andre Drummond - LeBron's Robin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well, they're not going to get any picks back if there is a buyout. He would be a free agent who could sign with any team.

I just don't see Koby being willing to buyout Drummond just so he could go sign with a team against whom we would be competing. If it ever got to the point where he got truly disruptive - which I think would be extremely unlikely -- I think Koby would be more likely to give him the JR treatment and pay him to sit home.

Appeasing blackmailers isn't a good long term strategy, especially when the blackmail could be repeated so easily by others.
Yeah, sorry that read weird, was trying to say that they should be able to at least get something for trading him, as opposed to paying him to play for someone else, which is just dumb, ha.

A sieve????? Really???? You do know that he is third in the league in rebounds and tied for 10th in block shots! Hardly a sieve!
The guy is the master of empty stats. Something I have said for years now. But you look at his real points negation ability and it isn't good, its bad.

So who is anchoring the defense right now? Okoro? Nance from the bench?

You would do it if it got you under the cap or something, but it literally cannot help the Cavs to buyout Drummond or Kevin. Both of whom they expect to contribute.

This isn't not only a buyout scenario, it is the wrong time to be talking about this 2 months before the deadline.

I have only seen buyouts at this point when a team is cratering and an old player decides to leave significant money on the table to play elsewhere
Bingo. Buying out Drummond accomplishes absolutely nothing. Buying out Love accomplishes even less.

It might make some sense to buy out Drummond if the season goes down the tubes, but even then, it would simply be a matter of doing Drummond a favor and allowing him to latch on with a contender. IOW, we're not only not going to cross that bridge until we get there ... we can't even see the bridge in the distance. A lot would have to go wrong for that move to make sense.

18 shots halfway through third. Missing bunnies everywhere. Hope we get something and move on. Too many of these.

What I’d like to know is why a 6’11” man with the ball at the hoop doesn’t dunk. (And the one time he tries, he spikes the ball into the ground 15 feet away.)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a big man who was worse than Andre when shooting from five feet in.

Drummond 28 min 16 rebounds
Allen 20 min 1 rebound

How does a center only get 1 rebound in 20 min?

Allen's 1 round must have lead to many many points for the team and Drummond's 16 lead to 0 points.

I don't think the Cavs will trade him but he's definitely won't come back. I'll be shock if he does because the team plays much better with him off the court....

Did you watch game? He was awesome and they made their entire run when Allen was on floor and went from two down to 16 up. For a stretch the ball can just bounce elsewhere. He played perfect basketball and Andre was rebounding his own misses half the time
