Austin Carr is Too Awesome and is the Best!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just checking in to say I laughed when John Micheal said "Yoogiii" in the Yogi Bear vocal flourish when Ferrell scored a bucket.. it was so out of character for him, that I couldn't help but laugh out loud :chuckle:

Not to be a jerk, but I forgot how much I enjoy watching Cavs games without hearing catchphrases slurred at me every minute of the game. I like Fratello and don't mind that he seems to be more neutral with his commentary. Clearly, Fratello is devoid of any of the excitement that AC brings, but there comes a point where the blind homerism gets to be a bit embarrassing. All that being said, I wish no ill will toward AC and I hope everything is ok with him.

I can give you everything else but you think Carr was “an okay player at best for Cleveland”? WOW!!!!!!
Austin was a very good player until he ran into injury problems. I watched him at the Coliseum tear apart Washington in Game 3 of the 1976 playoffs and he was coming off an injury.

Austin carr and Doug deacon both need to go. Give RJ and joe Thomas a shit ton of money.

I’ve never understood why you can do both. It’s the same game

Hotrod Hundley did so for the Jazz for a good number of years. Did a fine job of it. However, for some reason the league forced them to stop dual radio/tv broadcasting starting with the 2005-2006 season. I don't know if this was a blanket decision or not.

Any update on AC? He’s been out for a while so I’m sure he was symptomatic. I hope he’s recovering well.

Honestly that's one of the reasons I don't like John calling games. He still does it like he's on the radio. I don't need you on every play to tell me who's dribbling up the court with how much time is left John.

Joe Tait did both one season. It doesn’t work because TV needs far less audio than radio. Watching TV with a radio amount of audio is annoying.

Radio broadcasters have to paint a picture of what's happening and give much more detail. On TV they don't need to tell you all those details because you can see it for yourself.
