Browns hire Andrew Berry

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Late to the sandwich discussion, but I went to school in Pittsburgh and now live in Philly.

Primanti Bros is overrated. The best sandwich in Pittsburgh was Joe Chiodo’s Mystery Sandwich in Homestead but he and his place are long gone along with all the brassieres hanging from the rafters.

Best sandwich in PA is DiNic’s roast pork in Reading Terminal Market. Get it with the sharp provolone.

If you want a cheesesteak in Philly go to Dalassandro’s. Don’t go to Pat’s or Geno‘s like the clueless tourists do.

Funny how you don't see any more disparaging jokes about a Harvard guy running a football team.
Andrew Berry doing the lords work on getting people to stop demonizing education in favor of AM radio punditry.
I think there is an organizational lesson going on here, too. The Browns hired smart guy who also knew football, sure, that is a necessary component. But, by itself, it is not sufficient. Haslem gave Berry, DePo, and Stefanski complete control over the vision of this team and let them do their thing.

And to think we almost had McDaniels & (insert puppet GM here) running the org...

He may one day prove to be a successful HC etc. but we aren't here today without Berry/Stefanski(DePo)

The effect of Berry’s intellect, along with DePo and Stefanski, all of them embracing the new age of football.

It’s been the missing piece all along.

The fact that it came in the wake of a regime (multiple before it) which actively took the opposite approach, often with aggression and overt repudiation of people who embrace such a philosophy.

Makes it all the more sweet for me, I love being a fan of this organization right now.

First time in my life I’ve truly gotten to enjoy it.

This will probably sound hyperbolic, but both Berry and Stefanski are about as ideal as it gets for their respective positions. Their intellect, communication skills, organization and temperament are all off the charts. The best thing to happen to Cleveland sports in quite some time was Jimmy Haslam finally allowing an executive in DePodesta to take the reigns in creating the organizational hierarchy. DePodesta, Berry and Stefanski are all cut from the same cloth and we're all reaping the rewards now because of it. As always, the moral of the story is that baseball guys are the smartest and to wholly trust in them.
