Browns Training Camp 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JJ3 played how folk describe Mayfield’s 2021 play.

The DB room could be full of some trade bait, great potential but lots to be desired, specifically the safety position
The DB room is probably the most injury prone room on our team. I hope we keep as much quality depth as possible there.

Assuming San Fran doesn’t want him themselves, trade Hunt somewhere for a draft asset to then flip for Jimmy.

Jimmy will be able to be signed as a FA. Whe would anyone pay JG 26 million this late in the game?

he Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns are expected to fine Kareem Hunt for his training camp "hold-in" as he seeks a new contract.

Some teams look the other way as disgruntled players protest training camp practices — true holdouts are no longer possible because of the prohibitive fines — but the Browns evidently won't play ball with their No. 2 running back. That stature on the Browns' roster certainly isn't doing Hunt any favors. Per reporter Mary Kay Cabot, the Browns had "planned to let him play out the season and then revisit the expiring contract afterward." That approach seemingly isn't going to work, with Hunt pushing the situation to a head. Hunt's entire $6.25 million salary cap number would come off the books were he traded or released. Limited to third-down duties in Cleveland, Hunt would undoubtedly draw early-down trade interest were he to hit the trade market. D'Ernest Johnson is the next pass-catching back up in Cleveland.

That's unfortunate to hear about Hunt, feel like this ends with him being traded for a 6th before the start of the season. I don't think his role is as easily replaceable as others, but at a certain point you have to make some cuts when you've given big money extensions to Watson, Garrett, Bitonio, Teller, Ward, and Chubb

What does this mean?

With rollover, time isn't a thing.

Don't waste assets on Hunt when you have your new Hunt currently sitting fourth on your depth chart.
We don’t know that. Hunt is a pro bowl level RB who lead the league in rushing. You sure we have that 4th on our depth chart? I’m sure he’s not demanding some crazy number. Probably just similar to what he’s making right now just extending a few more years. That’s not really taking away from the rollover.

I expect JJ3 to play to the level in LA, Delpit & Greedy = unknown, Ward is a stud, I think Newsome based off his stats progressed nicely last season.

I am of the opinion that Garrett is the best player on this team and the need for interior linemen is top priority imo. I think we’ll see some creativity with roster moves.

But yes, the backfield has potential for some stumbling blocks regarding frailty.

I’m curious to see how Anthony Walker has progressed, actually disappointed so far.
It might be how Wood’s defense runs; this defense doesn’t excite me currently.
