Browns Training Camp 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wouldn't be totally surprised if Winovich is placed on the IR designated to return tomorrow. That would make more sense than outright cutting him IMO.

OJ Howard would've been a nice addition.

OJ Howard would've been a nice addition.

If we wanted him and Deshaun was playing week 1, I'm sure he'd be here.

Unfortunately he's hanging onto his NFL life and probably can't be messing around with Brissett for 11 weeks when he could go join Burrow and hope for a Uzomah-like opportunity.

At the end of the day it's more likely than not that the injuries have simply caught up to him, but that's a good spot to be to try and resurrect yourself.

It's also bad for us that he went to CIN. One more weapon for a team we're competing with.

Why?

Why are you so high on someone who, even with a guaranteed contract, got cut by one of the weakest tight end rooms in the league?

Other than his prospect profile (which I loved) what has OJ Howard ever done to make you think he's a nice addition?

I know, it's Los and it's a former first rounder so name recognition= OMG SO GOOD but cmon.

One under-the-radar WR that was cut yesterday and would make sense to me. Has some special teams ability so wouldn't be redundant with Bell like Tyler Johnson would be. Seems like Seattle was high on him too, just got beat out by Dareke the freak.

OJ Howard has to be one of the biggest busts at TE ever. He had an absolutely incredible prospect profile and injuries just destroyed his career.
I think I drafted him twice in redraft leagues... not even dynasty or anything. I was incredibly high on him as a prospect.

Sucks that he never panned out. I even liked him this year in Buffalo as a rebirth candidate.

It's not like we are looking for a #1 TE, we are looking for a #3 TE that can contribute and be part of a rotation. Anyone available right now was expendable to their previous team. I think the thinking with going after OJ Howard is you get someone who is a pass catching TE with experience. We are basically looking for someone to take on Harrison Bryant's role from the last two years. We need someone with experience so they can hit the ground running because Stefanski has leaned on his TE heavy sets since he has been here.
