Why do the Bucks make that trade?Get Grayson Allen here. Trade cedi and okoro
I'm not sure. I know they're looking to get rid of him. Maybe they believe in cedi. Why do the Bucks make that trade?
Cavaliers incoming:
Brandon Ingram
Larry Nance Jr.
2023 LAL 1RP
Pelicans incoming:
Darius Garland
Isaac Okoro
Dylan Windler
Caris LeVert
Rubio/Neto
Mitchell/Osman/Stevens
Ingram/Wade/Osman
Mobley/Love/Nance
Allen/Lopez
Logic: Garland and Mitchell pairing won't work. Garland has already proven he struggles to play alongside a ball dominant guard. LNJ can spell both the PF/C spot and has proven to do well in this defensive system.
The team takes a hit on shooting, to be sure, by losing Garland. But Ingram can create for himself and can play a lot of minutes away from Mitchell. Who has proven to play very well alongside Rubio.
We also get a 1RP because Garland projects to be a multiple time all-star and is better than Ingram in a vacuum. Pelicans could gamble and obviously are hoping that Lakers pick is Wemby. But, why take a chance on that when you can pair Zion with a perennial all-star PG, for sure? Lakers could make some moves and end up at the bottom of the lottery.
This Cavs team WILL be better than the current iteration. As long as Rubio is healthy. Big if.
Garland > Ingram.Griff can’t stop laughing
Questioning if Ingram is worth DG aside, I'm not sure how replacing DG with Ingram solves any ball dominance problem. Both DG and Ingram have similar career usage percentages, which means Ingram isn't any less ball dominant than DG. This season so far is almost identical (DG = 28.8, Ingram = 28; last season DG's was 27).Cavaliers incoming:

I'm not trading Garland. That's crazy talk. He makes both Allen and Mobley better in ways that neither Mitchell nor Ingram would.I love Garland, but I would trade him straight up without question for Ingram. Pels would never make that trade, though. Ingram’s a young, top 5 player at SF, which is the most difficult position to fill in the NBA.
The only way I could potentially see Griff doing that is if they managed to strike gold with the Lakers pick and get Wemby.
Way too much for a rentalThe trade that makes too much sense not to happen:
Cleveland receives: Harrison Barnes
Sacramento receives: Caris LeVert, '24 pick swap & two second round picks ('23 & '25)
Why?
Cleveland needs a tall wing. Barnes could be a really good fit here & is a seasoned vet.
Sacramento gets the younger player who could be utilized in a number of ways in Sacramento, while giving Murray the keys to the SF position. They also get a first-round pick swap in 2024 & two second round picks as well.
