I agree with the whole playing the Wiz thing. The best thing that could have ever happened to the Cavs was for DeShawn to call out LeBron. Really, DeShawn? And how are you going to back that up, hmmm? By making meaningless threes after you go 0-6? Add to the fact that LeBron isn't even being mentioned in the MVP race, and you've got the perfect "nobody believed in me" (SG reference, ugh) moment for LeBron brewing. (A reason for all Cavs fans to be giddy.)
MB is showing us all why he got the three year extension with these first two games. Put in a shooter (yo, Wally World I know you were loving it!) in the starting lineup? Don't play Ben and AV? Feed Z? Make LeBron come off screens? Who would've thought these things were possible from the coach of an out-of-synch Cavs team in the playoffs? The defensive intensity for the Cavs is absolutely there right now for the Cavs, and that's all Mike Brown. Even Wally's doing OK, he's done an admirable job on Caron, who's been very pedestrian this series.
The Cavs all have that swagger to them right now. West and Boobie look like stone-cold killers out there, Ben's got the 'fro bumpin', AV's bringing some intensity, Joe Smith's bringing the veteran presence, and what can you say about LeBron? He's been insane so far. He's done it all almost to perfection. These Cavs look really good right now. Damn good.
I want so bad to sip on the Kool Aid, but I need to see the Cavs in a hostile environment. I think it's easy for the Cavs to come together like they have in the first two games because of the home crowd -- a crowd that rocked my PC speakers tonight (the real sixth man?) -- that absolutely rocked the Q tonight. The Wiz just got pwned in Cleveland by the Cavs and the fans. Just an absolute mental collapse tonight.
Game three will tell what we've learned and how it will go down.
Rise up!
