If "Hiram" also made this statement, than he is correct.
Sounds like you’re just upset that your favorite player didn’t fill up the stat sheet last night because nothing that happened in yesterday’s game suggests that there was anything wrong with the offense or that the ball was in the wrong person’s hands at any point.

The ball ended up in the hands of open players at spots where they were comfortable. It showed with one of the best offensive performances in the team’s recent history.

Sexton will get his looks once teams start taking away the easier options (dump offs to Allen), but him playing within the flow of the game like he did yesterday is exactly what needs to happen for him to be the most effective player he can be for this team.

You are right; Sexton will get his looks if they want to win. And it will involve Mobley from the high post and Rubio finding him on the move. No holding the ball for Sexton, he will be on the move to receive and finish. In the flow of the game.

It will become clear that the Cavs' two best players are Mobley and Sexton. [MobSex].

The cloud of trade talks looming overhead are bothersome since I can't think of any decent trade partner that would make the team better.
As it is, now that the Cavs have some more solid players, Colin is finally going to have some time playing in a more functional offense. Coming into the scraps of the team LeBron left behind was a horrible place to enter the NBA in retrospect.

If Jordan Clarkson, who drove the tank so valiantly in his time here could become 6MOY, Sexton can work his way into shutting the critics down. I agree with the "defense is what it is". That's one place where I prefer Okoro. Just wish Okoro had Sexton's ability outside the arc.

PS. I HATED Tristan over JV in '11 AND Waiters over Drummond in '12 as I felt both picks limited the growth/development potential for Kyrie. I remember after one particularly bad Kyrie showing against Calderon (he used to get in Kyrie's ass btw) I came on the board ready to sacrifice Dion and Tristan both at the "let my PG grow" altar. So I'm not typing this hypocritically, I was in that sunken place hating a few Cav players before.

Come to the light, Tripper. Step away from the Collin vs DG debate man
I was with you on Waiters. I was OK with Tristan but my preference was to trade down for a certain PBS Logo-shaped head having guard with the same name or out right pick him there. Imagine the way NBA history would have swung with that happening.

Anyway, I got over it, because of the way Tristan performed when it was playoff time. As good as Frobley are already, there hasn't been a Cavs big since who boxes out and is as hungry for the rebound. Evan looks like he MIGHT be that guy.

Believe me, I'd rather have Sexland than the Waiters/Irving combo.... those two were trying to do the same thing, and one was clearly better at it. Meanwhile this team was without a facilitator proper for that period.

That play where he followed Mobley and got his miss and scored was one of my favorites. I wish the rest of the team was doing that more. Seems like a lot of isolated shots going on.

I will take that bet. I view Sexland the same. Collin is the better scorer and man defender. Darius is the better shooter and facilitator. Both suck at help defense. They are like one living organism. Both are just fluff compared to Mobley though. He is the guy in 3 years you hope can attract title chasing studs.

Sexton averaged 35 minutes a game last year and only got 29 against Memphis with the addition of Rubio. It bears watching whether his minutes will continue to be reduced.

It's gross that we considered EITHER over Kawhi or Klay
That’s hindsight talking.

At the time, nobody was touting Klay or Kawhi as options for the Cavs at #4.

I also don’t think Kawhi becomes KAWHI without a few years in San Antonio. He was able to be brought along slowly, and have his offense catch up with his defense. He probably doesn’t get that luxury - or the same development as a player - had he gone to a lottery team.

BTW/IIRC, the Cavs had a deal in place to get the #12 pick (I think it was Utah), with the intent of using that pick on Klay. Golden State scuttled those plans by taking Klay at #11.
