So in his first two seasons in the league he’s killed it after about game 40 both years, what can the cavs coaches do to unlock this earlier in the season?

Didn’t they get rid of the East vs west all stars? I thought it was just the 12 best with the starters voted in. Or something along those lines. He was 12th in the East in scoring last season, just 0.5 ppg from cracking the top-10. Seems more likely than not he'll eventually be a top-5 scorer in the East, at which point he's automatically in the All-Star conversation.
Lowry, Middleton, Westbrook, Kemba and CP3 all could make or not make it any given year going forward. The question is, how does Collin elevate himself past guys like Morant, Curry (who was hurt this year), Klay (also hurt), Beal, Irving, Oladipo, Fox, Murray.....AND this group above.
Its going to be tough as hell unless he not only improves significantly, but also we become a legitimate playoff team.
Not saying he cant. I was just saying there are alot of guys who will eat up spots. Most of which are on winning teams. Itll be very hard for Collin to get in unless he makes monumental strides or we become a legitimate contender. Otherwise, eyes will be on other players. I mean look how long it took Devin Booker to make an ASG.He's going to build off his scoring. It is going to open more stuff up for him and it already has. His assists are going to go up as guys sell out to stop him. He raised his assists by 1 whole assist after Christmas. He had 2 a game for months and then made it back to 3 a game. He's going to be a drive and kick guy. At some point they will wall off the paint and he will have to pass. He doesn't have great vision, but he can react to coverage. Harden's and Curry's assist games are built this way. They make great passes off how guys are guarding them more than seeing everything and passing guys open. They are open, and these guys just find them. Sexton can build on that.

Or even look at Beal who averaged an efficient 30-6-4 this year and didn't make it.Not saying he cant. I was just saying there are alot of guys who will eat up spots. Being on a bad team is a big drawback.
