I'll be pissed if this dude is the PG Ben Simmons. Refuse to take a damn to save his life with a gun pointed at him. Suppose to be Curry/Paul but looking more like Ben Simmons/Ben Wallace out there. WTF.

Sexton had a hard time pulling from 3 and he also passed up a lot of pull up attempts they let him have tonight. They were protecting the paint.

He needs to be pulling up several more time from 3

Ben Wallace is the obvious comp.

To be fair,he was aggressive before the injury.

Yeah, I'm not ready to toss him into the bushes yet. He still is better at taking 3s than Ben Simmons, lol.

TRISTAN was better at taking 3s or.... open shots in general than Ben.

Would like to see him start tonight as that was the reported plan. Hopefully he and Sexton can make it easier on each other.

I think that's the plan. I think Bickerstaff just didn't want Garland to be exhausted coming back from injury....

I think he is going to be hurt enough for awhile that his shooting is not going to be a threat. hope I am wrong because they need his playmaking.

Hopefully that is the case. Guy already had iffy confidence(which is no surprise for the one and done era, it can take 3-5 years before it fully comes. Steph Curry was still in college at Garland's age.

Aggressive in the first quarter going to the rim and taking the 3 with confidence scoring 9 right away. Just needs to continue being assertive and be a threat offensively.

Slowly getting back to where he was in terms of being in a groove to start the season. Just want him to keep getting more shots up, more reps. As the minute restriction wanes, he will get more opportunities.

Garland isn't the type of personality who's just going to step right back on the court after being out and start tossing up copious amounts of threes right away. At least, he isn't that player yet.

Do I wish he'd shoot more? Of course. But his playmaking is still extremely impressive. He wasn't exactly noted for his passing ability coming out of Vanderbilt. It was more about his shooting/scoring. He has tremendous vision and an array of passes he can unleash. The team needs that kind of a player more than it needs an irrational confidence chucker, so I will never complain about him passing up shots as he works his way back.

The thing that has driven this team more than anything is the team concept and keeping the ball hopping. Garland oozes fun when he's on the court and I really do think the other guys enjoy playing with him. Not sure that would be the case if he just started pulling up from 25-feet every third time down the floor.

He'll work his way back into form. In the meantime, I'll enjoy his little off the bounce shovel passes after dribbling through the lane and under the basket. He's starting to figure out that constant motion, Steve Nash style game.
