played great but doing fancy dribbles way too much

He just can't handle end of game situations.

The play was to drive and kick as he's simply too short to get a good shot off against the trees that the opposing team puts on him.

He's not a closer. Too small, too frail, too slow. Would like to see him moving the ball more and moving. His game should have more catch and shoots, coming off screens.

Darius had a very good game.. better decision on that final possession was needed though. He trusted his teammates for 47:50.. had to trust them for the final :10

So, we saw when Darius was out, Donovan played pg and was really good at it and the team was rolling. When DG got back, Donovan stopped passing the ball as much, but it was still in his hands a lot. I am not sure that was the right precedent for the team. They look more like a cohesive unit with Darius leading the way. Maybe getting this time without Donovan will get him better integrated when he comes back in and guys won't be watching him as much.

That was pretty much how you want the team to run last night aside from a drought and some mistakes.

Hopefully as Rubio gets more minutes, Mitchell and Garland will get more minutes together. It take awhile for really good players to learn how to play with each other.

I think if we didn’t have Donovan on the team Garland would be averaging 25/10. Obviously I want DM on the team but we looked closer to what we did last year last night

Agree, and is why many of us miss Lauri. The team was just beautiful to watch last season, and I know I was really looking forward to that continuity and improvement.

Mitchell kind of reminds me of the LBJ days, which to me, was not as pleasant to watch. I'm not there yet with this team as compared to those LBJ teams, but the team just plays different.

In this season of parity, I think our free flowing style last year would have been killer, and we definitely would not have been one of the slowest pace teams. Part of what makes us slow is Darius and Mitchell figuring out who has the best opportunity to attack.

Good news is, we got years to work it out.

Donovan is capable because that's how he plays when he is playing pg. I am hoping he falls in with the rhythm of what we are seeing now when he comes back. Pass a little more, find your buddy

Mr 4th quarter clutch turnover king
He also forced up a contested 3-pointer when double-teamed at the end of the third quarter with a wide open Love begging for the ball. It's like he thinks that he's the team's leader and therefore he has to take the last shot every time no matter how bad a shot it is.

He's at his best getting into the paint and drawing a big to contest his layup or floater and then passing off to a big or a baseline cutter for the dunk.

He also forced a 3-pointer at the buzzer against Memphis and got it blocked. No passing, just dribble around and launch a contested 3 against a 6'7" defender when we just need two points to win. I wish JBB would tell him to knock it off and just run a play and try to get the ball to a big for a high percentage dunk or layup.

Is a constant theme and is not changing not with this coach

JBB needs to sit him for extended periods when starts doing foolish shit.
