People disagreed with me when I said nobody wants to play with LeBron anymore, even PG the player everybody was so sure is going to the Lakers chose to stay with Westbrick in OKC over playing with his home town team with LeBron, happens to be an iconic and legendary NBA franchise too.

People can say what they want about how everybody would just Love to play with LeBron, fact is he wasn’t able to recruit one solid player to his team since his Miami days, player surveys are real cute and all but the reality is very different.

How many times do people have to explain that he didn't attract stars to Cleveland because they didn't have any cap space? Like, who were these stars LeBron was supposed to recruit with the MLE and vet minimums.
 
Nobody wants to play with Lebron because of the media circus associated with it. You have 1 bad game and they destroy you but Bron can have an 8 turnover game but drop 40 and get no flack

Some people gave him a pass because theyve said that noone wants to come to Cleveland. Fine, lets see if they go to LA now.

It's not the same sport but watching the Indians lineup in around 1995 was a blast, just dominating other team's pitchers with their offense. Down 6+ runs? No problem. It is fun to win and even more so with a fun team (great offense).

Cavs had chances to get several marquee players but the deals fell through because LeBron wouldn't make a long term commitment to the franchise. Throw out cap space recruitment and just focus on how LeBron constantly bent us over "by staying out personnel moves". He torpedoed trades for difference making players.

The only time LeBron seems to have gotten involved actively recruiting someone was when it was completely self serving, during his return. He was stuck with Bosh done and Wade declining in Miami and his best option, for his own self interests, was to go back to Cleveland.......so because there was something specifically in it for him, where he viewed Cleveland as the best way for him to personally benefit, he actually got off his ass and did something.

There are a few things to defend LeBron over but he was a complete zero when it came to making any effort to assuage FO fears that he always had a foot out the door. Had LeBron made even a half assed effort to reassure the franchise he wanted to be here, our roster would look markedly better and would have vastly increased our chances at 1-2 more titles. Instead, we are where we are because LeBron decided there was nothing else in it for him. So for that, he can fuck off.
 
And of course you look around the internet here and there and find there's actually people in support of this horse shit. People fucking amaze me man . . .

LeBron also shoveled a lot of dirt on the FO about the Kyrie situation when he himself made zero effort to placate Kyrie and try to get the situation resolved.

It was only long after Kyrie was traded that LeBron shifted blame to the FO when initially he had a "he doesn't want to be here, fuck him" attitude.
