Deshaun Watson Soap Opera

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Historically, the media has pretty much always sided with athletes asking out of Cleveland.
And of course, Cleveland isn’t a big market. They were planning Lebrons departure from the moment we win the lottery to get him.

The owner of the Patriots?

And probably half the guys who have ever gotten massages.

And I mean I guess it could be sexual harassment, but given that he didn't force the issue when she said no, I don't think you'd get an actual conviction for it.
Yes. Another piece of shit. He didn’t get a pass from the media though.
Wonder why?

Because he actually was undisputably guilty of the crime and they had video evidence. Watson is being accused of asking for something. We don't know if it's true or not. Kraft was dead to rights guilty, and the charges were still dropped.

Are you that dense? He got a pass from the legal system after being recorded on video of committing the crime. You think that happens if you take Kraft out and insert Watson into the same exact situation?

Yes. He probably would get a pass. Again, if this was Baker in all facets, would he be killed or coddled in the media like Watson is?

Baker was accused of cheating on his wife recently and as I recall no one really gave a shit.

I certainly didn't.
That was a dumb Twitter rumor and not nearly the same thing. Not even picked up by the media.
Accused of cheering and accused of sexual harassment or whatever it’s called. Not even close

Dont you get it? Open your eyes.

He’s totally destroying the double standards that totally exists. This isn’t the same as some internet rumor, a lawyer posted it to his Instagram.

Wake up, sheep.

What Double standard

This one:

Imagine if this was Baker being accused of this and also demanding a trade after the signing of a new contract and The media would be ill over him and would KILL him. What a joke

Expose them. These people need to wake up and see who the real victim is.

Here's the thing, though...I don't even think that you can successfully argue in court that what Watson did was sexual harassment. Asking a woman to engage in sex is not, in and of itself, sexual harassment. If you persist after she says no, sure. If you pressure her into it after she says no, definitely, and you're moving into sexual assault and/or rape territory. If you physically force her into it after she says no, then you're engaging in outright rape.

But if you ask a woman if she's interested in sex, she says no, and you say okay and leave her alone, that's literally exactly what we're all taught to do from an early age. It's not a crime to try to get girls to fuck you. It's a crime to persist when a woman tells you she's not interested.

And this is all assuming this story is true, which is dubious at best given the timing, the choice of lawyer, the fact that they went straight to a six figure demand, and the fact that they apparently have no intention of filing any criminal complaint. It's ultimately going to come down to a he said, she said if it even makes it to court, which it almost certainly wouldn't given the nature of the complaint, Watson's behavior, and the presumed lack of any evidence. This looks a hell of a lot more like a smear campaign than a legit lawsuit at present.

If more evidence comes out, I'm interested in hearing it. But for now, this is what you would call a nothingburger.

@JDailey23 , if Baker asked for a trade tomorrow, and refused to play for the Browns, then Browns fans would rightly be disappointed and many would be upset.

Do you see Texans fans upset at Deshaun Watson? No--they generally are not. I'm sure some are, but most of the fanbase understands what just happened and why Watson no longer wants to play for the franchise.

So, what's the difference?

What exactly happened? We really don’t know and Watson hasnt actually said what happened?
Is he mad because he didn’t get to pick the GM or Coach? Who cares. Only two players in all of sports can I think of who have. Both the Goats. Brady and Lebron. Period.
Did Aaron Rodgers? No. Did Peyton Manning? No. Ben Roethlisberger? No. Eli Manning? No. Brees?? No. Cam Newton? No. Flacco? No. Russ Wilson? No. Mahomes? No. Dak? No.

Was he upset with the trade? Maybe, then why not ask to be traded last year when it happened. Why sign the extension.

To me, I think he saw $$$$$ and didn’t think about what the future could be. Shitty coach and FO was not new. Lack of picks, not new. Yet, he still had career numbers. The lack of talent and assets short term are not good and he’s quitting. There’s no incentive at all for the Texans to trade him. None. All the picks will probably be mid to late 1sts and they won’t have a QB.

I’d be upset with Baker, but I also don’t think Baker would sign a mega extension if he were mad and upset.
I’d actually be upset more if they did trade him if he resigned because of the dead money cap hit, not to mention we wouldn’t have a QB anymore.
This organization has been a dumpster fire for 19/20 years, Baker would see it within his first contest and wouldn’t resign.
