From a Padre beat writer:

The Clevinger file

He cost the Padres four major leaguers and three quality prospects sent to Cleveland in 2020 and more than $13 million over his three seasons in San Diego.
For that, he pitched a total of 137 innings and had a 4.47 ERA, including the eight runs (seven earned) he allowed in 2 2/3 innings this postseason.

It seems like it’s not really stating it strongly enough to say the Padres lost that trade. It turned out to be a massive waste of player capital and money.
It was a bold play, and you don’t win big without bold plays. Fact is, Clevinger’s elbow injury and knee injury doomed it. He was one of the best pitchers in the major leagues from 2017 through ’20. He might be a decent pitcher again when his knee is healthy.

Read the whole thread. Yasiel Puig opening up about mental health issues, and how he’s found happiness.

Well he may be back here soon...

If his agent is smart and Puig wants to play in the bigs again, he takes a cheap one year deal with a team that needs OF help away from the spotlight. Let him just focus on playing baseball and see if Puig can keep his head on straight...

If I'm Puig, I just keep playing in Korea.

Trading your happiness for money is not often a wise move. If he's found a place where he's content, that's awesome.

Nothing wrong with that logic either! He's made enough to live off of, if he used his money wisely...

CBSSp lists Chang as a under-the-radar/bargain FA
“Chang played for four different teams last season: the Guardians, Pirates, Rays, and Red Sox. Each of those team's front office has an analytical bent to them, so it should come as no surprise that there's underlying statistical reason to think Chang has more to offer than what he's provided thus far in the form of his career 76 OPS+.”
