Ex Indians update

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
With the NYY's losing Montas for the year (most likely).. maybe Bauer can take his act to the Bronx where he'll be nothing
Mets - no chance with all the girl stuff they have had going on in theirmanagement ranks. Press would scalp them. My guess, at best overseas

I figured a maverick team like Oakland or Tampa would jump at the chance to get a premier FOR starter for the minimum.

It's Barry Bonds all over again.

It can't be hypocrisy unless its apples to apples. Bauer had a long history of publicly bullying women before his suspension.

But, unlike Clevinger, Bauer instantly went into attack mode. He also ADMITTED that he did it, partly while she was unconscious, his only defense was that she asked for it. He has kept himself in the headlines, instead of keeping a low profile. He has attempted to very publicly intimidate any and everyone that crosses him. Basically, he dared MLB to suspend him. MLB took him up on it.

Also, Clevinger has yet to play a game.

Go ahead. Make believe that Bauer is an innocent victim, a great guy in the wrong place at the wrong time.

How bad is he? Well, he's a CY winner that can be had for league minimum on a no risk deal, but not one team has jumped at the chance so far.

But if you really want to talk about unfair, talk about Callaway. A report came out about his harassment of women on Feb 1st, 2021. No violence, just harassment. He was suspended by his team immediately. MLB suspended him in May for a season and a half. As far as I know, no MLB team has hired him.

Callaway is scum, too. But he's never been accused of sexual violence, nor violence of any kind that I know of. Yet, he was suspended for as long as Bauer.

How is that fair?

The Red Sox announced Thursday that they’ve signed infielder Yu Chang to a one-year contract. Chang’s Major League deal will place him on the 40-man roster, and Boston has placed injured shortstop Trevor Story, who’ll miss at least the first half of the season after undergoing an internal brace procedure on his right elbow, on the 60-day IL to create space. Chang will earn $850K on the deal, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Life isn't always fair.

And where did Bonds play after his contract with San Fran ended & he wanted to keep playing?

No where..

He had just led MLB in OPS and no one had a job for him.
Of course, he had always been a jerk!

Don't make me say things that sound like I'm defending Bauer, but what are you talking about here?

With Trevor's case, he didn't admit to anything wrong. IF everything was consensual, like he claims, then he didn't do anything wrong. However, the rub is that it doesn't appear that what he did was consensual.

Nobody is arguing that Callaway may or may not have had consent. The accusations are clear--his actions were unwarranted and without consent.

Based on your post, it sounds like you think anyone who is into BDSM should be banned from sports, while Louis CK is a victim of circumstance.

Now that Kip has officially retired, I would love to see him become part of the Guardians broadcast team.
If not for all of the games, maybe for a handful of games. I would love the stories and input he could bring to the games.
Also, a younger demographic. I like Manning too, but he might be considering retirement soon.

I was at a Captains game many years ago to watch Lindor in single A.
It was Jewish appreciation night, of all things.
One of the factoids posted on the scoreboard was, hilariously: Jason Kipnis is Jewish!

But it was not true.
(Jason wore a cross on a chain and had chosen his father's Christian faith.)

He converted. From The OF to 2B. Did a damned good job too.

Dirtbag!

What the hell is Jewish appreciation night?

Free circumcisions during the 7th inning stretch?

You know how Lake County is about these things.

All I can say is: Leave mine alone!
