Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #24 | Jazz @ Cavs | Dec. 5, 2021 | 3:30 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wizards getting smacked around again. Overrated fucks.
Love seeing that. Hope Toronto finishes the job. Was thinking today about how much classier Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell are than Beal. You could see it on the court, in the heat of competition, in the body language, and in the post game player hugs/handshakes. Neither of those too would say something as lazy and disrespectful as Beal did Friday night.

These games will give them experience. I look at it this way..in the past the Cavs would have got blown out with no chance to win. They should have made some of those shots and made better decisions .But they did give themselves a chance to win..
I think it's safe to say we expect them to win now.

Jazz was one of the worst blowouts info I remember correctly.

I don't mind them losing at the buzzer. Cut down on some mistakes and they are fine

We are allowed to be good and criticize the coach. A couple different tweaks, adjustments, keeping a player in, actually drawing up a final play that works.. and maybe we win that game
Play them in May and we win that game..

If you go back and watch the post game of Beal, he clearly says scrappy and didn’t have any bad words towards the Cavs. He was saying how Garland was getting whatever he wanted and the Wizards couldn’t defend.

Can't I just live in my reality where he's a bad guy/heel and take extra joy any time the Cavs beat the Wizards? :chuckle:

Sounds like you'd have prefered to lose by 25?

This is one of the games played with house money for the Cavs in my book - who expected the team to be in a position to win such games with the last shot before the season started? Many of those tight games were won. This one? We tried. It didnt work out. Doesnt totally negate the effort of the team, doesnt mean everyone is useless/trash/choking.

Theres good lessons to learn from this game. Its not the last shot, that was just a coin flip. In all honesty i am positively surprised by the adjustment ability of this coaching staff that was mostly unknown to me before following this season. I expect an adjustment in the way Garland plays in the near future.

Dude. Couldn't agree more. The jazz whipped their ass last year. It took everything they had to beat the Cavs, who made too many mistakes.

You can pin this on Okoro stepping on the baseline as much as any of the 100 other mistakes. Love getting that rebound stolen. Experience and continuity won that game

Worst mistake imo was taking Cedi out. Rubio or Markannen, don't care. Cedi should have been in he earned it

Just popped in after watching game on dvr delay. I’m not even gonna bother reading a single post in this thread, because its usually a shit show of ultimate small sample size hot takes. Let me guess, this loss is JBBs fault? Whatever. This was one of the most exciting games Ive watched in years. Proud of this team for never quitting. Thats coaching. I feel even more positive about the future of this team after this loss.
Games like this make them realize they still aren't good enough.

I like the message of "we lost to the Lakers, Suns, GS, Brooklyn, but we were right there"

Need to keep getting better

Doesn't have anything to do with "earning" stuff. In crunch time you play the guys who give you the best chance to win. Besides, all three of them (Cedi, Lauri, Rubio) were part of the big comeback run and contributed to it.

But I agree that it made no sense to play Rubio (or Allen) instead of Cedi. In that situation, you want as many shooters out there as possible and then play 5 out. Baffling choice by JBB.

this game was setting up to be the same a few minutes into the 4th. Then the Cavs got some defensive breaks and went on a 15-0 run. It was said earlier that the Cavs were outscored by 18 from 3. That is usually the recipe for a blowout.

I wanted that last Garland shot to go in. I hope that the team looks at that last play the way so many of us on the board did, and makes better decisions in similar spots. This team doesn't quit and that's a good habit to have in a season that is moving faster than any of us would have expected, even at the most optimistic.

Bring on the Bucks. If Giannis doesn't play, an opportunity presents itself.

Yeah, I don’t understand the nitpicking.

I also don’t understand how him winning this game here would have made the difference between him being a good coach or a bad coach in 50% of this boards eyes. Being reactionary is how you get into trouble as an organization.

This is literally how this forum has been for the entire decade I’ve been a member. 50% like the coach, 50% don’t like the coach and no one on that side that doesn’t like that coach can be convinced otherwise.

Scott, Brown, Blatt, Lue…every coach got that treatment here. Grass is always greener for some people, just the way it is.
The OSU boards, EXACTLY the same things. Way too many people in need of major psychological help in this society, and it is reflected on these boards.
