Well-played.Love is not Gay………
Well-played.Love is not Gay………
Just saw the highlights! Great game but a long contested three down one point with 8 seconds on the shot clock is the best shot Garland thought he could get??? WTF???Just saw the game.
What a game.
Tough loss. You learn and play again.
Jazz are exclusively reliant on that three ball, they could struggle severely in the West playoffs. Best of luck.
Cleveland has another chance in Salt Lake City.
The Czar was without a doubt our best coach in years!!!! It’s not even close!OMG, it pains me to say it, but you are 100% right! JBB, even with his youth and imperfections, might be the best (least mediocre-bad) since Mike. Thought Byron Scott would have been good. Blatt maybe on of the better?
That’s what I’m saying we are going to lose at some point. Is an 82 game season lol but I’m glad we are competing every game and growing. Fun fun seasonOr Golden State to the Spurs last night or Clipper to the Kings last night…….Could you imagine great Coaches like Kerr and Lue losing to those scrub teams…..
Losses are going to happen for instance tommorow might be a sure loss is a back 2 back game and Cavs go on the road again. Last year with this schedule the Cavs prolly would have 3 wins this team is fighting every game that’s a plus. And of course there’s such thing as a good loss if you can’t see it then I don’t know what to tell you"Good loss"? I can see the positives but I dont subscribe to the idea that a good loss exists. I'm glad you can celebrate such a great loss though.
I forgot the coaches failures were off limits? Does it hurt your feelings or something?
People bitch about coaches, players, and all kinds of things after losses. I am frustrated with our coach and have been the entire year for multiple reasons. I have also strongly defended him multiple times and I can definitely point out his plusses and minuses.
Tonight was a minus. I can live with a loss but I hate that we didnt put ourselves in a position to succeed in the final play.
That was my point. They don't set a screen or run a play - it's just Garland launching a contested 3 from well behind the line when you only need two points.Just saw the highlights! Great game but a long contested three down one point with 8 seconds on the shot clock is the best shot Garland thought he could get??? WTF???
Offensive weakness of the Cavs right there. Screening just lacks in comparison to other teams. That was my point. They don't set a screen or run a play - it's just Garland launching a contested 3 from well behind the line when you only need two points.
It's a dilemma. If you have 19 seconds and run your normal offense you might score with 5 or 10 seconds left which gives the NBA's second highest scoring offense plenty of time to get off a good shot and they are loaded with great shooters. But if you have Garland dribble the clock down to four seconds he might not have a good shot, and in this case he didn't.
It looked like Allen got a hand on the rebound and slapped it toward the rim, but it rolled off the side. Oh well.
Not sure wether Rubio wants to stay or not. Outside of last years Timberwolves' anomaly where he was played behind D'Angelo Russell, he has been a starter in the NBA thoughout his career. He enjoys the environment and the young group but he might ask to be moved to a contender. At the deadline this year we will have sexton , and a pile of second rounders to trade. Maybe Dean Wade. Cedi is playing at a very high level, so unless he asks for a trade, we keep him. I dont think any of Windler, Valentine or Stevens gets you anything. Maybe, if Windler starts getting minutes where he actually drains threes, but still cant defend, he might be worth something to a team that needs some bench scoring. I think we could easily replace his potential in this years draft in the second round, because there are so many 6"7+ seniors with shooting skills coming out.
The Cavs haven’t had a big man who knows how to set a strong pick since Andy V. And actually the biggest weakness of our guards is they really don’t seem to know how to use the occasional good pick.Offensive weakness of the Cavs right there. Screening just lacks in comparison to other teams.
The Jazz don't really double with Gobert down there.Gobert and Allen is probably a wash. This game will be decided on whether the Cavs can neutralize the Jazz 3-point shooting. They get a higher percentage of their points on 3's than any team in the league.
On offense I'd like to see the Cavs play an inside-outside game where they dump the ball in to the low post, forcing the Jazz to double team, then kicking it out for open 3's. The Cavs are sizzling from deep the last few games. Let's take advantage of that.
