Well, yes and no. She was the second Silk Spectre. Her mom was the first. But Laurie Blake from the show was the one that was one of the main characters from the comics that was in a relationship with Dr. Manhattan. Her mom was in a retirement home at that point.
At any rate, I really loved her phone call to Dr. Manhattan on the show.

The stuff with Jeremy Irons. It's something of an homage to the Black Freighter comic the kid was reading in the comics.

Show within a show is like what Terrance and Phillip is to South Park from what I understand.
Jeremy irons is just fiction within the show that the rest of the universe enjoys?

I feel like it's not made apparent enough that it's show within a show. It all blends into each other

I think that's kind of the point. That said, the AHS stuff is shot differently and has a much different tone. We're getting the true story of Hooded Justice along side the fiction.

I don't really see the benefit of blending the s. w. a. s. to the main story so well. I didn't even know it was happening till I went on reddit and apparently a lot of other people are having the same problem.
I love lindeloff, but I don't get this in theory or execution

I feel like the AHS stuff is almost ribbing the Watchmen movie the way it's so over the top and hyper violent compared to the normal show stuff.

Holy shit. Insane episode. Talk about shit getting real. I’m about to be very upset. Only 2 episodes left for the season and anyone that thinks they could have predicted where this story was going is a lying maniac. 2 episodes. Really. I need more.
Just wow. I really don’t know if the good guys are going to come out ahead on this one and I’m not sure if that’s a bad thing. Angela and Looking Glass definitely seem to be shaping up as the true heroes and these characters just get deeper and deeper in depth.

I dont like this show anymore. From what ive gathered, im in the minority, but the past two episodes have been boring in my opinion..
theyve spent so much time confusing me that i dont even care anymore. Did we really need two full episodes to go away from the show to explain whats going on/what happened in the past?
Also, i cant stand angela or her story line. Its boring, great her grandfather was hooded justice, lets spend two hours reiterating that. Meanwhile lets spend 3 minutes addressing the original storyline of the show.
Just seems like things have gone away from the actual super hero shit into angela’s story, and i dont really care...
not to mention, theyve explained nearly everything and boom! Heres something else that doesnt make sense to end this episode.
Its stupid. I wanna know what happened to looking glass. I wanna hear more ab the calvary. Was two episodes of nostalgia pills really necessary?
