Hard to understand how a poster can be negative about IO in this game.. He pretty much delivered offensively in every way. The drive and dish assist to Allen, the drive and kick to Sexton, splitting two bigs to the hoop, straight up post bully on a smaller player, screen step back three, straight up quick release guy in his face three, shoulder drive LeBron style in traffic 2.. And this a guy who has played pretty much every game this year as a defensive plus, and playing a game that doesn't matter..

So is it enough to make the Allstar team? No... Is it enough for a cavs fan to celebrate? Yeah, it is..

Fun fact, i just found out Okoro and I share a birthday.

Anyways, he is a 20 year old rookie having a 30 point game in his rookie year and doing it an extremely efficient and aggressive manor against a good defensive team.

It doesnt mean nothing that is for sure. One of 7 rookies this year to do it, and Garland, Sexton and KPJ never had 30 in their rookie year.

Doesnt mean all star game like you said, but it means something, means he has potential for sure.

Yes. He was a completely polished finished product that could have been producing like this from Game 1 except JBB’s incompetence or deliberate sabotage held him back. That’s why JBB has limited his minutes - he ranks first on the team in that category in fact, completely reprehensible.

Koby deserves no credit for drafting him and the coaching staff deserves no credit for developing because this is Real Cavs Haters dot com, where the franchise is trashed 365/24.

/sarcasm over.

Okoro has the highest upside of anyone on our team. Pops would kill to have him become a Spur.

I think Garland might have the highest upside with his elite passing. And this isnt a Sexton hating thing, i just think with Sexton's work ethic and being in year 3 that he is much closer to his ceiling than but Okoro and Garland at this point. But Sexton is an efficient scoring machine, I think our team needs to learn to play off Sexton as much as Sexton needs to learn to play off of the team.

That said for one day Okoro and Sexton learned to play off eachother and Sexton learned to help feed Okoro. We took the #1 team in the NBA right now to overtime, it is a hope for a future for sure.

Maybe Okoro is also jewish? he has the locks...

Looking for positivity in a lost season

Lost season?

Sexton a 6'1 guard is scoring almost 25 a game on 48/38 shooting, he is learning how to score efficient.

Garland has become an 18/6 guy on 45/40shooting, and showing amazing ball handling and passing skills

And now our rookie scored 32 points on 16 shots and has shown strong on the ball defense all year.

Sure Love, Drummond, Jedi, injured Delly, return of a 52 year old Andy, trading of KPJ, Windler getting hurt 43 times and missing only half the season this time and more all sucked. But when watching a rebuilding team watch for Sexton, Garland and Okoro development not the crazy shit that goes own or you will drive yourself crazy.

Plus we will be in the lottery again, dont even know where or who we are drafting yet. Not a lost season at all...plus 1 more year close until we can get rid of Kevin Love. (and Cedi)

I was paraphrasing Bickerstaff from last night

I would love some continuity. The individual growth is great, and I have been consistent thinking Koby Drafted well.

The injuries, the mismanagement of egos, and the drama I could do without.

That’s a fair take, IMO. I just think the exuberance over Okoro’s big game is a little over the top.

I think the better take with his performance is that Okoro has the ability to make a team pay if their game plan is to force him the ball into his hands. If we draft a good scorer this year, that is something Okoro will see more often. They will bait Okoro because he will be viewed as guy with the least offensive skill.

In OT, that game plan changed. The Suns decided to put more pressure on Okoro and someone else has to beat them.

Bridges took over the game after allowing the tieing basket in regulation.

Garland has the highest offensive upside, but Okoro rates higher IMHO because he can be very good on both sides of the floor.

68% from the free throw line before allstar, 77% since. Along with his home/away splits there is more evidence that he is turning the corner as a shooter. If he really has the pick and roll ability and finishing/foul drawing potential we saw last night, his upside could be pretty high.

I consider him in his infancy as a basketball player. IMO he has the basketball mind, he needs his skills to catch up. He needs a lot of polish, but the glimpses are there.

Definitely a cool game. Needs reps prob off the bench handling the ball

How are they playing this kid 43 minutes in a game that we probably want to lose? It's important for his development to be healthy in the offseason.
