on a night where no one could make a shot, Okoro dropped 7 points on 100% and no turnovers. We need to feed this man

He's displaying the aggressive defense and physicality that JB doesn't want to give up on. Hitting a few shots gives you hope he can regain the touch he was showing at the end of last season. His minutes get reduced when the Cavs get healthy, but he can still be a valuable part of the rotation.

Relentless pursuit of excellence !!!

It just sucks he can’t get the offensive game consistently together yet. Last night was a good start, and if he plays like that on offense he has a place on the team.

IMO I don’t think he is a guy you just dump or use as a filler in a trade. He seems like someone that can be useful on this team and should be cheap to resign when his rookie deal is up. Maybe I am just hopeful that he is a late bloomer and don’t want to give up on him.

This thread title needs to be "Isaac 0k0r0 - Just Existing". No team is going to want to touch this guy in a trade.

But guys hes liked in the locker room! I saw Mitchel posting him on his IG!

Fedor has a column on Isaac this morning. JBB still believes.

He takes those shots (corner 3's) when he is open. That’s what he needs to continue to do. The only way you are going to make shots and have confidence is by having the courage to take them. He has been doing that. With time, confidence and belief he is going to be able to knock those shots down consistently. - JBB

So far he's hitting 18.8% of his 3's.

When you watch him in practice, there is not a guy who works harder than him. There’s not a guy who over the summer spends more time on his game and craft. You reward guys like that because you appreciate and respect them. We believe in him at a high level. At some point all the work he puts in is going to pay off and the only way it will is if he’s on the floor. - JBB

At some point...

Are they sure? You have guys who play 10 years and never develop a decent 3-point shot. Rajon Rondo only exceeded 30% one time in his first nine years in the NBA (31% in his 3rd season). Starting in his 10th year he was consistently in the 30's, but it took him a decade to get to where he could make 3 out of 10. And I'm sure he worked hard at it.

It's not like Okoro is DeMar DeRozan, who has an unstoppable mid-range jumper that more than makes up for his 29.8% career average on 3's. Okoro can do one thing offensively - score on a fast break.

The story is they are "rebuilding" his shot and when that happens you take one step back to take two steps forward. Well, there are 61 games left so we'll see if he takes those steps forward between now and next spring.
