That's a good point. I think there are times when he seems nervous and out of his comfort zone. I think when that happens he freezes. I hope that would be something he could overcome so he can play how he wants to regardless of the opposition. Right now he does look scared sometimes.Ignore everything I’m about to say if I’m misunderstanding what sports psychologists do but…
Some people are just wired different. I know you know that, but just saying.
Dude tends to plants and is a nerd (not a bad thing). He picks opponents up when they fall on the ground mid-game. Seems like a guy that’s pretty happy with who he is too. Can’t really say just watching, just guessing.
Feel like you’d have to convince him that his very nature is a flaw if you send him to a psych.
Granted, it IS a flaw from a competitive standpoint because it fucking hurts your teammates when you do that against uber competitive people who are dying to take advantage of it.
I’m just saying this to say that I’m not sure sending him to a sports psych would do it. I think you might have to change his role on the floor or trade him to a team that plays differently.
He just strikes me as a guy that LIKES playing like that. Which sucks.
