Not bad.....but Ayton scares the hell out of me. He doesn't seem like a player Koby would go for.

Wondering what’s the possibility of get Ayton, think Allenn and Ayton would make sense for both teams.

Cavs get a Center who can hit consistent midrange shot meaning we open up a bit more space space in the paint, also just generally more talented offensive player which is sorely needed. We still have Mobley to lock down the paint.

Suns get better defensively, add much needed paint defense and somebody they can try guard Jokic. Allen’s also a great lob target to pair with Paul and Booker.

Not sure why we’d do that. Allen is a better overall player than Ayton and makes significantly less money. He’s not a good enough player to solve any issues for us and we’d still have to send out additional players to make the money work.

The Suns have wanted to be able to run more offense through Ayton for years. He just doesn't have it like that. Not sure why it’s suddenly change in Cleveland playing with Garland and Mitchell.

Couple guys came out saying there's.abiut 100 guys in the NBA that don't even like basketball and reddit made a thread about it

Users started guessing who the 100 were and Jarret Allen was maybe the 4th guy listed

Derozan - heard some of his comments this morning. I think he's correct.

Many of the high draft picks who don't pan out just don't have the desire needed to succeed as a pro. Talent isn't enough; you need to work on skills and conditioning.

I agree that Ayton is not a great fit, but I’m not going to say that JA is a better player. If the Suns actually like JA, find a third team to take Ayton. Ayton has more strength and more talent, but he too doesn’t have the mindset and desire.

If we can get a starter quality player for Allen that fits better, we need to jump on it. JA’s next contact is going to be very small. He’s not worth much and I’d think the whole NBA would understand that.

Allen for Ayton would be some dying on the hill move by Koby that he believes in two starting 7 foot bigs so much that he wants to lock us into it long term. Ayton isn't worth a max contract against the cap unless you have no other options like the Suns had last off season.

Allen is more tradable with his contract so unless the Suns want to add in assets to make the trade and that allows us to fill a lot of our other holes then I wouldn't even entertain it.

I would stop watching if we acquired Ayton to replace JA.

JA has his motor issues, but Ayton is worse, not nearly as athletic, and has a terrible contract.

Yikes. Ayton for Allen? At their respective salaries?

Obligatory:

Fans pounding the table for a Jarrett Allen trade are likely just hurting themselves. Altman flat out says the core four aren't going anywhere this off-season, but the percentage of the fanbase who wrote it off just flummoxes me.

I know I've mentioned this before, but the striking overuse of Allen in the Knicks series seems to lead to some recency bias. It was a tough six days with a terrible plan and a severely flawed roster. Love's role went from crucial sixth man to gone and not replaced. That led to a rough patch for Jarrett.

Jarrett Allen averaged 38.2 minutes a game in the playoffs. The players people say played with more toughness were able to get rest and play with more abandon: Robinson averaged 27.1 minutes and Hartenstein averaged 20 minutes.

In short, I believe a large percentage are purposefully ignoring facts to the detriment to their own mental health and they will deal with broken bones in their hand from needlessly pounding tables all summer.

Does this guy have any 2lb weights at home. I dont understand how a professional athlete with nothing else to do with his time and making an absurd amount of money doesnt hire a personal trainer.

I agree 100% with you. In a situation where Allen could actually sit for long spells (not to mention in a system that prioritizes rebounds from the centers) the talk would be way different.

It's time to do the work of cleaning Koby's snake eyes rolls.

I guarantee Ben Simmons doesn’t love basketball.

Dirk Nowitzki was widely known to have hated basketball. Mark Cuban used to share stories about how he would schedule team dinners where he would get up in front of everyone and stab basketballs to death with paring knives.

I think he came in out of shape and his endurance seemed pretty poor. I thought if anyone regressed this past year it was him. I know he dealt with an ankle thing most of the year.

Really need to see more accountability and leadership from Allen. It is so weird. Year before last he felt like a real emotional leader of this team and his fire just wasn't there this year. I really just want to see him compete harder. I didn't think an allstar selection would affect his hustle, but it might have.

Also, putting Mobley in the dunker's spot more seems to have really affected his game. JB needs to find a way for both of them to flourish and be involved.

I think you are overlooking how much Markkanen helped Allen's game. Markkanen provided spacing and took a guy out of the paint, and I know some don't want to admit it but inside the paint is Allen's entire offensive game. A third of his baskets are on dunks, and 88% of his baskets are within 10 feet. Take away Lauri put in Okoro, and suddenly there's another defender clogging the lane, and that's where Allen lives.
