Today's ESPN article on what the Suns should do in the off season, had some interesting salary points that may give us an indication of what Allen should earn. It discusses Ayton and Bridges and how the Suns can extend them. While Ayton is worth more, I think Bridges value is closer to Allens despite their playing different positions.
"This past season, Bridges ranked eighth among small forwards in overall real plus-minus, fifth in defensive real plus-minus and fourth in win shares with 8.98. The Suns would be smart to overpay Bridges (four years, $100 million) but with the trade-off of not giving Bridges a player option in the last year of the contract.
In December, Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby signed a four-year, $72 million contract but with a compromise that the forward could become a free agent after the third year as a result of a player option."
I think somewhere between Anunoby and 4/100 M is where Allen should fall.
How the Suns should approach the offseason
After falling short in the Finals, the Suns need to wait and see what CP3 will do with his player option.
