JEREMIAH OWUSU-KORAMOAH

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How did this guy make it to the second round and to us
It was the combination of the heart-related rumors and being perceived as a tweener, who wasn’t big enough to be an every-down LB. It looks like we may be the big beneficiaries of his fall. It’s nice for a change, as the Ravens usually scoop up guys that fall.

Yup, we can thank COVID for this one. If teams were able to check on the medical red flag that came out (his heart) then he would not have fallen as far as he did.

I know all of us in the draft chat room were hoping he was our pick at #26. Trading back up to get him at #52 just made that entire weekend for me--nevermind the incredible rest of the draft.

@Randolphkeys I'd like to apologize from switching my tune from "JOK is the second best defensive player in the draft after Jaycee Horn" to "I might take Zaven Collins as my LB1 over him" late in the process. What is my penance to return to the JOKer's good graces?

Let's put together a Real Browns Fans mailbag sooner than later, that way you make up for this egregious error.

Alright. In addition I'll say three rosaries, listen to 36 Chambers and binge some old-timey Batman as my penance offering to the one true linebacker.

I know it has only been one preseason game but I'm fanboying so hard right now. I mean, I was ecstatic at the draft, but it's the culmination of his talent and his demeanor both on and off the field. He's extremely respectful and well-mannered, smiles a lot, but takes his craft seriously. Then he's a beast on the field.

I'm really thinking of buying his jersey and thinking he could become my favorite defensive player of all-time... yes, I'm that far gone lol.

I commission you in charge of the offseason sitcom starring him and Myles.

Baker can be the wacky next door neighbor.

The thing that's most impressive, to me, about Wu (I'm sticking with that nickname for him), is his tackling. I have not done a deep dive on this, but from what I've seen, he's elite at this. To that point, is there a play anyone can remember (go back to Notre Dame, as well) where he was the first guy to the ball and he *needed* an assist to get the guy down? I hope that question came out accurately. There are guys that hold on long enough until the calvary arrives to help. Wu is like Achilles in the movie Troy storming the beach and wrecking shop not even needing help from the Greeks.

He's, legitimately, a guy you can say, "dawg, go eat." And you can trust he'll take care of business.

I have a feeling that JOK falling to us in rd 2 is going to be much like Michael Dean Perry falling to us when he was drafted. Many teams are gonna have regrets.

Time for some ingenuity from our coaches. For example, we know Myles can drop back into coverage. If JOK and Myles are on the same side of the field that’s two dudes that can wreck your shit. Any gaps in pass protection will be ruthlessly exploited by our ferocious dawgs.

Some teams have a spy to cover the likes of Lamar Jackson. We have an assassin.

@Triplethreat :cool7:

And what did it cost to move up to select JOK?

Just moving down about 20 spots in Round 4? Just an absolute steal.
I'm going to call the 59/89 that we gave up Andre Cisco and Paulson Adebo.

I'll take the JOK, JOK-Lite (Tony Fields) and a 2022 fourth side of that deal every time--and I absolutely love Cisco and Adebo. I'd take JOK straight up, eschewing the other picks.
