LeBron has been ruining the NBA since he left for Miami. Started stacking the deck there and the whole league has been infected by the superteam plague ever since. Cavs fans were lucky to be in position to benefit from it for one season with a chip, but make no mistake that the NBA is not a real league anymore but rather a soap opera that revolves around one man and his efforts to dominate every aspect of the league no matter what, or the efforts of others to stack the deck in return and counter him.

Bron really must have some voodoo magic over the league cuz this year it was all about KD, it was his moment to be the premiere FA and reshape the league. Yet heres another summer where it's all about LBJ and his stranglehold over free agency and the shape of the league.

Really exhausted by it. Love basketball, very tired of the National LeBron Association.

One way we know that LeBron truely is a Clevelander is because he usually wins the offseason.

The dinosaur's #1 jersey got retired in MIA and he objectively meant less to the franchise than Wade and James, so it's likely that James gets 2-3 total jersey retirements.

For that matter, good chance Bosh gets a Raps jersey retirement now that feelings have softened up.

I don’t know why people think LeBron/AD/Kawhi would be an unstoppable superteam. 34 year old Lebron plus a bunch of OK players couldn’t even make the playoffs last year. 35 year old Lebron + AD + Kawhi + Kuzma + a bunch of minimum contracts are one injury away from being a borderline playoff team.

Yes, he's 34, he's also Lebron James. Even if he loses some athleticism he can easily dominate a game in a Magic way. I know the hate in here is real, but some posts in here are just dumb.

It's like some people are trying to will LeBron into being bad all of a sudden.

As for the numbers, i think he gets his number retired in Cleveland and Miami. It would take probably at least 2 or 3 titles in LA for that to happen, and that's only because he is who he is, otherwise, not even that probably.

The Lakers have put all their chips on Kawhi and basically locked themselves out of the entire rest of the free agency market. Big problem for them if Kawhi chooses another team, the rest of their roster is going to suck.

I understand his point. He is banking on 1 of Kawhi or Davis never making it through a whole season plus the Playoffs. Lebron was injured last year too. It is an unbeatable machine though if they all stay healthy the whole season.

If Kawhi goes to the Lakers, its a million percent the worst superteam "buy a championship" of all time. No question. No team has ever had 3 of the top 5 players. It would be completely pathetic and officially turn the NBA from an actual sports league into just entertainment, like a giant Marvel movie.

If Kawhi stays in Toronto or goes to the Clips, basketball will be really interesting and pretty balanced. Great for the league as a whole.

If Kawhi goes to the Lakers, I swear on ky daughters life that I will not watch any NBA until fucking LeBron retires and is out of the league.

Someone one Twitter, not some fan, but someone who looks like he is an actual insider says Kawhi to the Lakers is a done deal, just finalizing a few things. I just find it hard to believe the Lakers would let every single decent free agent sign elsewhere if they didnt know Kawhi was coming there. Wouldnt shock me at all if today is the day they announce it. I think Lebron announced he was going there on July 2nd last year, and it was real quiet, just like this.
