Just last year we was THIS away from being in the AFC championship game and probably heading to the Superbowl. Baker was cooking in the playoffs too.
Actually much earlier this calendar year. Sad!

Not sure there is a single member of this team that has exceeded expectations, coaching staff included. Some guys have failed much more miserably than others and some guys have at least met expectations.

But truly a year of missed opportunities.

And yet... it truly feels average QB play would still have this team easily in the playoffs.

What does D’Ernest have to do to get some more touches? On a team full of non-playmakers, he has consistently produced when given an opportunity. Today he gets 4 runs when Baker is actively sabotaging us. It’s hard to figure what the offensive staff is thinking most of the time.

Greedy & Newsome are the only guys who I would say exceeded my expectations. Greedy because I thought we would end up cutting bait & Newsome because I didn't expect him to be that good.

I’d love Chubb to get more touches…

Stefanski giving the ball to Chubb 5 times in the first half and expecting Baker to throw all over the field when he hasn’t practiced in 2 damn weeks was pretty fucking stupid. Chubb could literally have had 200 yards rushing today. Lean on your all pro damn RB especially with your QB not throwing a single pass in practice for 2 damn weeks.
Since week 8, the Browns ranked 26th in run success rate in the first half..

Teams have been stacking the box, taking the run game away and forcing the Browns to beat teams through the air, which they haven’t done..

Browns were moving the ball fine, they just had costly turnovers and costly penalties inside the other end of the field that led to less points then they should have had…

So painful. That wasn’t even a football play. Should have been a penalty.

Swap out unpopular with wrong

Name the 3 games. Today’s loss was on ur buddy boy, not the kicker who barely mattered

People assume things like "oh well the team lost by 2 and they missed a FG, if they had a kicker they'd have won!" without factoring at all how that kick, made or missed, impacted the strategy later in the game for both teams.

Like it's easy to say the Browns win last week if McLaughlin makes the FG that he missed, but that doesn't take into consideration how the strategy changed after he missed it.

If that FG is good and the Browns are only down 13-10 instead of 13-7, they assuredly don't for the go ahead touchdown on 4th down late in the game. They kick the game tying field goal in that spot and lose 16-13 instead of 16-14.

But some would tell you "oh well they lost by 2 and missed a 3 point kick, so it's obviously the kicker that cost them the game!"
