Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
it really doesn't matter if he's a defensive liability, considering who else is on that team. on the Cavs it's a problem because he was surrounded by a plethora of bad defenders in most lineups. On the Celtics? Not so much. lots of two-way players on that team. and they actually have a coach.
Id agree with this, but we're seeing it with the GSW/HOU series, both teams look to exploit Harden and Curry with good results despite both teams having wing defenders.

Gotta say we lack the right type of visionaries in our FO. That Kyrie trade was the epitome of non-creativity. In the Nba if all you ever do is take the seemingly obvious route you'll end up with a lot of bad choices. Let's say IT even panned out, were we supposed to challenge GS with IT and Love playing heavy minutes? We would then have had to pay the midget huge money just so we wouldn't lose him for nothing.

The assumption that the Nets pick would end up top 3 was also a bit foolish in my opinion. The whole decision was fool's gold

So we agree!

We saw what a Cavs team with LBJ, Kyrie, TT, JR, Love, and Korver were able to do in the Finals last year. Not enough. This year, four of those six could reasonably be expected to see declines in performance because of age. Our defense was just going to get worse, not better, and Kyrie's defensive deficiencies would be magnified even more.

Our FO is the least creative FO in the league. It shows in every decision they make.

We needed a Jerry West like consultant... but why would he or somemone similar even come here? does he have any incentive? We need someone that is able to make decisions that no one would have the balls/courage to, but are based on smart analytics and foresight...not some shots at the dark.

FO looks stupider and stupider with every opportunity Lue blows.

If we even got a fraction of the new players abilities right now, we would be beating boston. Instead every single player Koby got in the trade looks worse in Cleveland. That is not some anomaly. Which players have we gotten during Lue's Tenure that has looked better than the place they were before? I think the answer is none.

Only Frye...but he is so plug and play and benefits greatly from playing with Lebron. His On/Off with and without Lebron is staggering.

You could say the same about Korver, but these guys are just really good shooters and that is the main thing they do.

I mean, I don't feel confident at all about trading guys when we have not seen them put in a position to succeed.

The Kyrie trade was PLENTY creative. The problem is that is was the management equivalent of finger-painting on the bathroom wall with one’s own feces.

And replacing him with Isaiah Thomas, who is even WORSE is a good idea?

Of course IT's worse. If he wasn't, we wouldn't have gotten a lottery pick, Crowder, and Zizic out of it as well. And those assets, not IT, were the primary reason for the trade.
