NBA FINALS 2023: Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m looking forward to tonight’s game. It’s going to be a great one.
Agreed!

Miami knows this is their game 7

The only saving Grace they have is Al Horford is a Celtic and he’s a fucking NBA loser…

Kyle Lowry's body type gives ordinary middle-aged guys everywhere hope. He basically has dad bod.

Old players that play regularly:

LeBron, 38
Cp3, 38
Lowry, 37

He's already defeated the odds. He's being paid on past accomplishments, game 1 was a really good game by him and a reason why Miami won. They need one more of those from him. I figure Miami at least needs 2 good games from guys like Lowry and Love.

Tonight has to be their night, or they're apart of history, and fans against Love can have their final laugh.

Lowry is 37? Damn, didn't realize he was that old.

Next year is a lost year with JBB. 2nd round exit at best. Doubt Mitchell extends. So then you're in a terrible position where you risk losing Mitchell for nothing.

We aren't ready to win a title either way. I doubt Mitchell expects that either. I think Mitchell leaves, if he doesn't think we are heading in the right direction. If we are second round exit next year, I don't think that is bad.

You are right on keeping JBB though, very disappointing, but I am going to play devils advocate, on possibly why they kept him and maybe it was even right.

Not because I like him. The blow back would have been bad if we fired him. All year long, the pundits have really built up JBB a lot, as a good young coach (even though its bullshit), and if we fired him, the PR would have been bad, and possibly hurt any chance of getting a good candidate.

The coaching fraternity is strong, if they build up this narrative we fired him unjust, it makes good candidates re-think taking the position themselves.

ESPN talking heads would be out with their pitchforks, about how unfair, and unjust it was. And how silly we are, blah, blah, blah... Every time we fire someone, we are labeled dysfunctional, when LA or New York, or Boston does, its just and needed.

I am not saying that's a good excuse, screw the media and what other people think. Maybe Koby thought the timing isn't right yet, and wants to give him a longer leash. Because if JBB fails next year, there's no excuse, he's gone, and no one can cover for him.

I think Mitchell wants to complete for a title now. No way he's extending with a 2nd round exit so then you're gambling it all on a final year to prove it to Mitchell and risk losing him for nothing.

Mitchell sure looked like he wanted to compete for a championship, bud.

He played like trash in the playoffs but probably thinks it was the squad around him.
I dunno there, guy, do you think he was just being humble when he said he played poorly and it was on him ?

Narcissism? Or do you think he believes that ?

Does he really believe these guys are trash ?

You think it could be drugs ?

Yeah, but what are his real options? The Knicks sure as hell aren't competing for a title either. Even if they get him, they still aren't...

There's not many options, where he can win a title, and those teams can/will be in play. At least not at the moment. Maybe the Heat reshuffle some things and make a play.

And is he going to leave serious money on the table?

I think it's easier to re-sign, take the money, and if you don't like the direction of the team, then request a trade (like he did in Utah)...

The only scenario I think its guaranteed to lose him, if we take a step back, and look like we are going nowhere. Then he's gone.
