New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I binged the first 2 seasons of Slow Horses on AppleTV in about 4 days. They're 3 episodes into the third season with new eps on Wednesdays. British spy thriller with a ragtag group. Gary Oldman is absolute gold. HIGHLY recommend!

And fwiw AppleTV has, by far, the best original stuff.

Their overall catalogue isn't as big as their primary competitors. But they've spent their money hiring A list actors and producers for every original project it seems.

Saw rumors that AppleTV may try to buy paramount since they are struggling.

I don't think they are buying paramount. They want to go into a partnership to bundle their products. There is data showing that when consumers bundle their streaming products that they are less likely to cancel and move around.

I think a lot of the lesser streaming services will look to bundle with each other to retain their subscribers. I think Verizon wants to offer their subscribers bundles of different streaming services.

Hear me out, all the streaming services form two or three mega bundles with hundreds of options. Feels like something could be there. You could call it wire or rope or something along those lines.

They definitely know they screwed up by basically killing cable as we knew it. This is how they are trying to revert back because they won't be able to revive cable tv.

Paramount is already bundled with showtime. I guess they merged.

More bundling is better if it lowers the total price and are things I actually watch. And they each keep all of their future content.

They also need to make it easier to search across services and also focus in on a single service to browse their content. Showtime content is intermixed with Paramount content in that bundle.

I have AppleTV. The TV app search doesn't search all of the services. I have to go to my computer and search google, sometimes the results are wrong.

It's so time consuming finding something to watch, especially when looking for a theme and not a specific show/movie.

Streaming is a PITA compared to the old days of cable or dish. If only they hadn't jacked their prices so freaking high.

Monarch Legacy of Monsters was fantastic. Any Godzilla fans should 100% watch it. Another Apple original.

Agreed, we only made it through episiode 6 then my daughter, who I'm watching it with, had to go back to college. We can't finish it until spring break.

10 episodes, season finale was the best, like they usually are.

The Curse episode 10 was one of the most odd and incredible finales I've seen in a while. Only watched it because I'm a Nathan Felder fan but man I was like "WTF am I watching right now?" The whole series is pretty awkward and slow but I'd say 8/10 mainly for the finale.

I had the numbers confused, We watched 8, she had to leave before the last 2. Quite the cliffhanger they left us on in episode 8.

Guys, I had the chance to watch Yellowstone per your recommendations. I think it's absolute shit for someone who lives outside the US. The acting is terrible and the script is weird. I can't. It's like Succession, but bad.

Maybe if I were American. Maybe not. The acting still sucks though and no one is relatable in the slightest.

True Detective Season 4 just started last Sunday. It's been interesting so far. Seems like there's some ties to the first Season which can't be a bad thing.

Reacher Season 2 just finished up on Prime the other day. Highly recommend.

For All Mankind Season 4 just finished the other week on Apple TV. It's a show based on an alternate reality of the Soviets winning the "Space Race" back in the day. Season 1 was a slow burn but it's a pretty entertaining show.

There's a Ted tv show on Peacock now. It's not as good as the movie but it's still worth a watch if you enjoyed the movie.

Trying to think of what else I've watched recently, but that's all I can think of right now.
Tokyo Vice Season 2 on HBO starts on February 8th. Season 1 was awesome.
