New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Finished Mind Hunter. Masterful performance by the serial killers in the show. Especially Ed Kemper. Could watch a series that only featured him and the guy that plays Ford.

At first I thought that Jonathan Groff's performance as Ford was bad.. but as you watch the show it just seems to fit really well.

It's sad that it didn't have enough audience to warrant more seasons from Netflix. Now i'm stuck looking for the next best thing in the same genre, but probably nothing will come close.
Iirc it has an ok viewership it was just expensive as hell to make

If you see Invasion on Apple TV and think to yourself, "Gee, I'm into alien / dystopian shows, this looks great", take your remote, put some olive oil on it and shove it up your anus. It's that bad
This. I watched the first season and it was okay. Season 2. Nope

If you're looking for a "spiritual sequel to the X-Files" like Mindhunter sort of was, the OG of them all Millennium is up there I think.

Mark Snow's soundtrack in it is better than TXF (amazing how many people only really think of TXF theme among his works.)

I really like the limited series "One Day" on Netflix. It reminded me a lot of the Hulu show normal people.

True Detective season 4 turned into straight ass.

Very disappointing.
Gotta say that I agree. Super anticlimatic, to the point of being borderline lazy with the storytelling. Also the "ties" to Season 1 were utterly meaningless and wholly unnecessary (and, again, lazy).

It wasn't as bad as Season 2 but it certainly wasn't good. Can't imagine I'd ever rewatch it.

The first season of True Detective was so good that I refuse to watch any of the seasons that came after it on principle. There's no topping that performance.

Masters of the Air has been good.

Thoughts, @The Human Q-Tip?

I've liked it a lot so far. I do think it's going to be a better show to binge watch than the week by week as it gets released. The storylines feel too open end with each episode that you really want to watch the next episode. Band of Brothers and the Pacific felt like chapters of a story where you could take it in after each episode. I guess they are just made for two different eras of TV.

I am not a fan.. it moves too slow, a lot of making faces into the camera..does not have a compelling story line so far IMHO..

I actually feel like it's moving too fast and there isn't enough world building. The only time you really feel like you are emerse in the world is when you are on the plane with them. Everywhere else they are cutting it with another storyline and you can't really get sucked into their journey.

Like there should be points where it feels scary or painful to be with certain characters but we only get some small segments of that then they pull you away to a safer environment. Band of Brothers and the Pacific never did that.

I finished Expats and I wouldn't recommend it at all. It fails to achieve anything as a story. Like it uses Hong Kong as it backdrop but it doesn't really explore the people or the area well. You think it sets up a mystery but it is left unsolved. The characters are all unlikable and there is no emotional connection to any of them to justify the ending. Don't waste your time with this. Not really sure how they convinced Nicole Kidman to do this series.
