Quinn Ewers officially decommits from Texas

For anyone unfamiliar, Quinn Ewers is considered one of the, if not the, best prospects in the class of 2022. Ohio State and Ryan Day (when he was still the QB coach and OC) offered Ewers after watching him throw at a camp before he even started his freshman year of high school. He plays 6A football in Texas, the highest classification in that state, and threw for over 4,000 yards and 45 TDs last years (only three INTs) while rushing for 568 yards and 9 TDs as a sophomore. Definitely on the level of a Lawrence or Fields as a prospect.

On top of that, if OSU gets Ewers, they might also get Caleb Burton out of Texas, the #1 WR per 247 right now.

So that would make it 3 years in a row OSU signed a 5* QB and the #1 WR.

The recent smoke and CBs and maybe even Ewers decommitting from Texas seem to be evidence.

Day has been beyond expectations already, but this is quite a get. In college the rich tend to keep getting richer, and chances are if this kid sticks we will pick up even more exceptional wide receiver talent.

My biggest worry going from Meyer to Day was potential recruiting drop off. If you would've told me that Day is a better recruiter, I would've told you to kick rocks.
