We were wrong about him giving us something on the floor, but there is nothing even remotely close to suggesting this is happening or will be happening.

Watch a game man. Look at one of the guys up off the bench rooting dudes on, or rooting Goodwin on down the stretch where he planted his ass on the bench, and come back and say this still.

It kills me when people make assumptions about any player's thoughts and motivations. Rondo knows what he can and can't do, he knows he's at best extremely limited. He's trying to do what he can. He's being a positive veteran influence amongst a very young group of players.

Rondo is a master at watching and breaking down game tapes, and those will show anyone watching what's going on. It is clear that Goodwin is our only viable backup option for any extended minutes, and Rondo is the 3rd guy.

OK, so I guess it's equally preposterous to assume that Sexton is such a team first guy that he'll happily return to the Cavs on a reasonable deal to play off the bench? Because I've been hearing that a lot. I guess some people know these things.

Whether or not we can waste a roster spot on an unplayable "master of game tape" is another thing entirely.

We'll see what happens if and when there are viable replacement options who need roster spots. Pangos would need to disappear first.

He cost us very little - specifically, one of the least sought after FA wings this past offseason.

Realistically though, if we make a move and Rondo is glued to the bench? Awesome. He has appeared to do and say all of the right things off the court so far. If it causes a problem? Sadly, we have paid people far more for far longer stretches of time to never show up to the facilities again.
