Haven’t been this excited to see a movie for a long time.

What a talented dude Jordan Peele is to be able to cross over from goofy skit humor to a very unique brand of “horror”.

Question for all of the people that love Nope: did you love Us as well? Because I thought Us was incredibly underwhelming and just flat out not scary at all.

Haven't seen Nope yet, but I completely agree about Us. I thought it was a pretty big letdown after how great Get Out was.

I think I laughed more times than I was actually stressed out or shocked during Us. It was just very mediocre imo after the masterpiece of Get Out.

I didn't think of it as a horror movie for the most part, and the times when I did see it as one I thought "this is doing horror but way out of the mold".

It's more close encounters. It's more a movie that you just get really into watching than it is a particular genre.

We've been watching old movies lately. Some I thought were really good

Barefoot in the Park
The Sting
The Apartment

Nope thoughts

I have to give it to Peele, he's really changing up horror movies with these veiled social commentaries included. I read this one as a means of everybody's needs to find importance in life, even at great risk of nature. That can be through striving for celebrity or going for documentation. That quest leads to personal ruin (perfectly encapsulated by the biker guy). It started off with the attempt to control nature with Gordy the chimp, and then the means of controlling a "predator" of the UFO and the "impossible shot". Ultimately, it wasn't about that, but instead about two siblings finding their true selves.

I also really liked how the spaceship was the alien. I actually found that pretty terrifying of being swept up by a flying mouth. I was ready for a Xenomorph or grey guy, but this was unique. A mix between a mouth, a weird looking kite, and a blancmange jellyfish thing is a choice.

Put me in the camp that believes OJ survived. He was riding the horse "Lucky" after all. I'll have to dig further into the names of things, but I did pick up on how the alien was named "Jean Jacket", aka the horse Emerald originally claimed as "hers" and in the end she was the one to get the definitive photo.

All around, what a brilliant movie. Peele doesn't miss and even his weaker ones are miles ahead of the usual releases.

Haven't seen Nope, but I didn't really care for Us and thought Get Out was fantastic.

Nope, 7/10. Entertaining, fun, fizzled a bit at the end. Better than Us, not as good as Get Out.

The release of Batgirl, which included Michael Keaton returning as Batman, was canceled.

I kept reading these posts as the movie Us like multiple of the letter and was really confused.

Anyway, finally decided to watch the newest Fantastic Beasts and it was pretty bad. Harry Potter franchise going the way of recent Star Wars movies

But The Flash movie, starring a person with multiple warrants out in Ezra Miller, continues on. Nice.
I still cannot believe they are still going with him.

It is a helluva case to grow a backbone over.

I mean, they have Grant Gustin sitting right over there to plug into the film.

Not only would they be doing the right thing, but Flash fans would be elated!
