If you simply compare the two QB's Kirk Cousins is better.

If you compare the two QB's in this offense Kirk Cousins is better.

If you compare the two QB's statistically Kirk cousins is better.

Financially, Kirk Cousins is more expensive but that's because he's better.

Kirk Cousins is older but Baker will be 27 entering next season and if you're of the belief that Baker hasn't peaked yet he's about to be 27 entering his 5th year...............

The only two advantages Baker has over Kirk Cousins are age and money but those advantages are only due to their respective level of QB play. Kirk Cousins played his way into that contract. Baker has not.

Kirk Cousins has been consistently productive throughout his career. Baker has not.

Kirk Cousins has never missed a game due to injury. Baker has.

He'll find a way to Jimmy G his way to a loss when you need him most.

If Cousins was a substantial upgrade, why does Vikings go another route without even having another option themselves?

This is the same Kirk that got into a 7-14 shootout with an injured Baker, amirite? So he's liable to have a stinker here and there.

A new GM dives right in and just trades away 33 TD and 7 Int?

You QB gurus just have it all figured out.

Oh by the way, is Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen coming with?
The fact that you are even arguing about this is hilarious to me.

Everyone in the NFL would take Cousins over Baker.

I don't think Browns fans know the national joke that Baker has become. The only people who still believe in him are a portion of Browns fans.

Matter fact @BimboColesHair is a Vikings fan

Why should the Vikings trade Kirk away without having a Trey Lance?

Especially when the Vikings problems were defense, coaching, more coaching, and Cook being in and out of games.

If Browns fan think Kirk is such a substantial winner, why the hell does Minnesota go away from that?

I believe the saying is "scared money don't make money".

Cousins is quite easily an upgrade over Baker. If the Browns can get him without giving up too much, I'm all for it.

If they want a 1st, I'd very much prefer to trade next years (2023) than this years, in order to give Cousins one of the top rookie WRs to throw to.

Think getting a 2023 pick makes more sense for the Vikings, too. It helps their tank for 2022 and then gives them additional ammo to jumpstart their rebuild in 2023.

The salary question marks is what makes me uneasy. Will the Vikes be willing to pay some of that or will the Browns have to take the whole contract while giving up a first? The fit would be perfect while still having enough assets to get a quality receiver or two.

Wait for the shoe to drop on Watson and Russ before you start offering a 1st for Cousins.

There are too many teams that need QB's to wait for shoes to drop. If we want to get our guy we have to be aggressive.

Kirk Cousins salary is not nearly as questionable as people are making it out to be. If anything it's in line with his production.

And I highly doubt any of these QBs are first come, first serve. There'll be ongoing negotiations everywhere.

If Watson is cleared, he goes toe to toe with any QB in the AFC. Big mistake letting him go to Pittsburgh or something.

We have a lot of waiting and seeing to do. No need to jump for the last name in the hat.

35 million is ALOT and way more than what Stafford was making when he was traded. Stafford made 21 million at the time of the Rams trade.

Speaking of Stafford:

My point is that there's no reason for us to wait until the smoke clears.

And one team that's a frontrunner to land a top QB is now up for sale. No reason to be conservative if we want an upgrade.

$35M is not a lot for a good starting QB like Kirk Cousins. QB contracts are quickly becoming the new NBA Max contracts. People are still looking at the numbers under the old cap and the old system. You have to look at it from the new money perspective.

Again, trading Cousins isn't enough for that team/group of talent to be "tanking" bad.

This makes sense for Cleveland, but not for Minnesota. They're not going to give you Cousins out of charity.
