I agree that Tait is the man, but when you're watching games in HD there is a huge delay between TV and radio. I for one loved the work Reghi did here and hate to see him replaced, especially by a slimy bastard Detroit a-hole.
 
First he just worked in Detroit, and is trying to escape. But then again the guy is just fair, not great, so I wonder why need to buy out Reghi. Not like some great guy is available now or never.

Second I am shocked so many people actually like Reghi, I watch literally hundreds of games a year and have heard every broadcast team and Reghi easily is in the bottom third of broadcasters. Then again some people like stupidity and Reghi has that in spades.
 
Don't like stupidity, just the passion he brought to the games. He was over-the-top at times but entertaining.
 
You are obviously a moron mixedbag....the Cavs broadcast team was voted in the top 5 last year and is always near the top.

Reghi is one of the best in the business, I am def going to be making some calls and trying to get this fixed by trying to get him back.
 
Mixed - I think most of us on this message board watch hundreds of games a year as well - Mike is highly regarded in the national community for his eloquent language in describing a basketball play. I suppose some may not like him - but IMO, they are few and far between.
 
IF this is true, it might be the begining of a chain of moves that are to come. Maybe more things are to come from this?

Maybe I am alone in this place that cant stand Reghi, but you can bet tons of other fans cant stand the guy and are happy with the announcement his contract was bought out. Buying out 2 years is a pretty desperate move to dump someone you think is incompetent.

Different people different taste, if you like dumb and incorrect from your announcer, call Gilbert and have him say to Reghi "never mind" your still under contract.:chuckles: :chuckles: :chuckles: :chuckles: :chuckles: :chuckles:

Hey sorry I ruffled feather. Some people like one movie others hate it, same goes for announcers. Maybe if he had not taken Art's side and Boozers side I would not feel as much dislike for the guy, but even before that I thought he sucked. Maybe the hair plugs, no even before the hair plugs he sucked.

National community, guy has been around many cities for a long time and knows how to schmooze, doesnt mean he can announce.

You have your taste, I have mine, on this one we are 180 degrees

Finally someone that knows the guy. Every time I had to spend time with him he came off as such. That is why he likes Art Model and Boozer so much, other arogant Aholes that cant do their job well and hate Cleveland fans.

Would be good if you could delete, I accidentally double posted the other day and all I could do was remove the content to save people from reading my crap twice.

Man I liked Reghi. It took me a while to get used to him but I became attached to him. Way better than Austin Carr and MPrice. I once saw Reghi partying it up with youngsters in Traffic rocking one of his slick suits. WHats next were gonna sign Detroit's mascot?!
 
I'm not a big Reghi fan, but I always associated him with the Baltimore O's and he just seemed like a merc in Cleveland and he seemed phoney/fake and I'm not just talking about the hair plugs. He grew on me a bit over the years, but some of his calls were just dumb, especially once he started mixing them together... Flight 23 coming out of the attic? Please....

He has been stuck with color guys he's had to constantly lead the past 2 years, which basically means they're 1/2 the broadcast they should be.

I can't remember anything about the Detroit play by play guy, and have no clue if he'll be any better, but I do think there's room for improvement.

Mostly I'm surprised Reghi wasn't purged when Gilbert bought the team... but I'm not sure how much input the Cavs have in to that .vs. FSNOH.
