Terrible deal IMO. Chernoff wouldn’t do it either. The only thing that could change that is a Contreras extension and what are the chances of that?Baseball Trade Values: Accurate Player Trade Values: Trade Boards

I really think I could live with this one...
I like Morel and think he is perfect for Francona... Now I think Brennan is underrated and Morel is overrated, but acquiring Contreras and Morel wouldn't be a bad idea in my mind...

I’d do either of those offers, but I’d prefer Drury.Trade for 1B/LF Connor Joe (COL), bounced around the league via waivers, signed a minors deal with Colorado in 2020, now a legit bat, especially vs LHP (122 career wRc+), at his best the higher the leverage situations, 4.5 years of control left, but turns 30yo next month. He's a good trade chip for them, but also very popular and won't come cheap.
Offer?
Palacios, Tolentino, Gaddis, Herrin?
Miller, Pries, Mace, Misiaszek?
I want to keep Reyes. To be fair, I'm biased. Because I am a big fan. But he provides an element that we simply do not otherwise have--legitimate power. Yes, he is a flawed player. But the offense needs to be dynamic. Outside of Jose, the concept of having a lineup comprised almost entirely of slap hitters is just not appealing.
Reyes is young, controllable, and has been hitting very well since coming back from the DL. He also gives us a dimension that no one else does. Unless you are sold on Noel, there's no one else in the org who will be providing that dimension any time soon either.
You can make a lot of improvements with a Rosario, Tena, Brennan, and perhaps Plesac as your trade chips. No need to throw in one more guy who happens to do something that no else you have does.
If you move on from Amed and Franmil, it means we will be adding to the prospect overload....not alleviating it.
It also means that we are losing two RH bats for a lineup that can't hit left hand pitching well.
Wait a minute.... So you want to go make a deal with Tampa Bay again???@Gson
Someone mentioned C Blake Hunt from the Rays... do you think he could be our 3rd C in 23? He is supposed to be a 60 rated defensive catcher... not supposed to hit much...
for clarification purposes... when it comes to making deals with clubs.. there are two to avoid:Wait a minute.... So you want to go make a deal with Tampa Bay again???
I bet you were one of those kids that liked to run into traffic as he grew up, even after getting hit by moving car...
I would add a 3rd team when acquiring prospects (Atlanta)..for clarification purposes... when it comes to making deals with clubs.. there are two to avoid:
Baltimore
Tampa..
Always seems like the shit-end of the stick is the teams that make deals with these two..

A) That is not a denial...Haha, but this time I am not looking for an actual starter... I am looking for a defensive minded backup catcher which this guy profiles as lol
A) That is not a denial...
B) Just because you are not looking for a starter, it doesn't mean the chances improve when dealing with a noted snake oil/ troublesome trade partner.. When it comes to dealing with Tampa Bay the best move is to just say No and hang up the phone..
