Eric Snow should defnitely start- I really think he can run this offense well. He takes care of the ball, has a 3.6 A/T ratio, and I think Mike Brown will want that.

Last year if you said Damon Jones to me I would have just laughed. I know I don't want him starting. Apparently somwhere along the line he learned to shoot though. Maybe a backup.

I liked Jaskevicus' video, but we really need to see him play some more. If the knock against his defense is that bad, we'd just be inviting more foul trouble for Z as usual. As much as we hated McInnis, his offense was pretty good. But matador defense didn't help us win games and really screwed our frontcourt.

Antonio Daniels- he just is such a tweener I don't know what we'd do with him. He should be the 3rd guard if he comes here, his energy off the bench was good for SA/SEA.

i voted for sarunus. From what ive seen he will be a great player (if we get him) but yea definatly would need to see him play more. I would actually say eric snow start at the beginning and maybe start sarunus if he earns it. But i WANT sarunus to start.

Not meaning to throw a bucket of cold water on our infactuation with Saruanus, but here is a slightly disturbing note.

Concerned: 1.725 A/TO ratio. Abysmal. Worse than any qualifying point guard in the NBA last year other than Gilbert Arenas. Granted having not seen the games I can't really say much more, but that's a very poor number no matter how you look at it.

Now mix that with James, Ilgauskas and hughes, there are turnovers a plenty.

On the positive side he shot 95% from the stripe and 45% from the field.

Oh, My , God.

I want Sarunas. Hes got amazing court vision, great form on his shot, and has an amazing dribble. I watched the video... it blew me away

I want to sign Sarunas to split minutes with Snow evenly, maybe a couple more mpg for Saras.

Im kinda torn on which I would want to start though. Its improtant to have Snow's D out there to stop opposing players from penetrating too easily. But its also important to have a three point shooter in the starting lineup to stretch the the opposing defense and take pressure off our other players.

I voted for Saras, but I would be perfectly fine with either of them starting.

You got all that from a one minute clip? I could give you a clip that could make me look like an NBA prospect and say Im from Italy and I have a ton of potential...

Dont take to much into this "highlight" clip. It showed me a couple of things, he has some vision, instinct and a pretty good ability to create some offense.

But at the same time, we saw one minute from a guy whos spent four years over there...or however long hes been there...dont hold your breath until we see more.

If he was such a capable starting PG, he would have his offer in a heart beat. There are obviously questions about his game, he cant get a guarantee to start, so Im not so sure to give this guy a free pass as our answer.

Detroit isnt the most amazing team talent wise, but they work together and play great team defense....something Id much rather see our team evolve to rather than a run and gun.

With Snow starting, a guy who would be perfect with the Hughes signing is Damon Stoudemire. He can shoot the deep ball great and with Lebron and Hughes handling the rock so much, he can concentrate on what he does best which is score. He would be great off the bench to stretch the defense and have a change of pace.

The best fits for the Cavs (Does not mean who I think are the better player as I think A. Daniels as a starter is the best FA PG available but who fits now that we have Hughes):

1) Sarunas
2) D. Stoudemire
3) D. Jones
4) A. Daniels
5) E. Watson

Totally had forgot about Stoudamire. I agree with your ranking there completely. Stoudamire has said in the past that he would love to play with LeBron, but then again, so has everyone.

I did mention Damon a while ago, the kid has some offensive game that would be key off the bench.

He is NBA proven, would come cheaper or around the same price as Saruanas, and despite the baggage, would be a solid addition if we cant get Saruanas.

Good job bringing him back up, he had faded away there.

I actually have to amend my list because I forgot about Marko Jaric. I really like his game: he's a bit of combo PG/SG but he can shoot and is tough. Would love to see him backup Snow and Hughes. He could be what we wanted Jiri to turn out to be. A guy whose size creates mismatches and can can stretch the floor

Updated list:
1) Sarunas
2) Jaric
3) Stoudamire
4) D. Jones
5) A. Daniels
6) E. Watson

I really do like Jaric's game, but there is one thing about him I dont like. There doesn't seem to be a massive care factor in him. I may be wrong. He seems to have been Clipperized.

You might be right Karma but I say this guy play with Serbia and he was one fierce competitor out there. I think one reason they didn't do as good in the Olympics is he didn't play.

I really like Marko and we know what happens to players after they leave the Clippers (Odom, Dooling, Cummings, Chambers, even McGinnis). I've felt just like with Wilcox that these guys would shine once they leave the Clippers

I say bring in one of the PGs, right now my preference is Sarunas. Then once you bring him in you let him and Snow fight it out for the starting position. No matter who wins Sarunas probably get the larger portion of the minutes but it sounds like both want to win and are competitors so let's see which works better with the starting unit.
