Spring Training 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Reyes just muscled an oppo 2R tower HR on an inside pitch. :: 2-2 t3*
*wind is blowing out to RF

Methinks 40 HRs is in the works for Franimal.
Beautiful. Inside out was my jam back when I played.

IMO 40 HRs is the floor for Reyes.

Others do not share my enthusiasm, but his penchant for opposite field power is gonna play up in the Prog, esp when the wind stops blowing in off the Lake.
I've been pimping the Franimal since we acquired him for Bauer.

Dude's an absolute stud. I hope he shows it this year. The fans are gonna fall in love with him.

Santana (O.G.) lookin' primed for a repeat best season.

HR, 2B, 1B

To think he was available via a fire sale just 2 years ago. Brutal.
The prospect capital spent by the Brewers was not small.
Call it Karma or bad luck for the Marlins (& by extension the Orioles in another deal) that those prospects have in general not performed well to this point. Perhaps 1 or more guys will end up working out but we will not know for a while.

For Yelich, the Brewers gave up Lewis Brinson, Monte Harrison, Isan Diaz & Jordan Yamamoto.

For Jonathan Schoop, the Brewers gave up Jonathan Villar, Luis Ortiz & Jean Carmona

I still have serious doubts abt his ability to make enough contact to get 40, but he certainly has the strength. Reminds me frankly of another guy in camp in Domingo Santana. I think the weight loss does more to keep him in the field than help the swing but I guess we see. He has certainly proved the prospect ratings wrong so far and I love to root for guys who outwork their projections.

He launched 37 last year, his first full season in MLB...and in spite of being traded mid season.

40 doesnt seem like much of a stretch.

I think it's a good deal for both sides. Yelich gets a $27m aav extension through his age 37 season rather than waiting 3 more seasons to hit free agency at age 31. Probably leaving some money on the table but it makes sense to me why he'd take this deal. Lindor taking a "team friendly deal" would make less sense, in my opinion.
