He isn't wearing a cup.. his shin guards are in his locker... the location of his mask is unknown.. his steel toe shoes are missing.. etc.. etc.. IOW.. he's the DH.. not Catching..

He has nowhere near the talent of Merrifield since Clement doesn't have the power and whatnot...

The talent is coming.. Whit Merrifield wasn't Whit Merrifield as a 26 year old.. he started to become Whit Merrifield when he turned 28... As far as power goes.. Merrifield is a 10 -12 homer/year guy.. that's running in to a few.. not really a power profile..

Merrifield has a lot more gap and actual power than Clement... Clement had 4 total HRs in 283 minor league games. Clement's HRs come from good swings and a bit of luck... I will bet good money Clement will never get 10 HRs in one season. Merrifield isn't a good comparison...

Kwan too... that contact ability + some power would be unstoppable
Anyone else hate this Texas coverage by the way? Unwatchable to me honestly... If I wanted to watch 3 guys in a box I wouldn't put on a baseball game

Yeah, they have been a bit boring.... they are talking about the season, but doing very little about the actual game today, which is a bit annoying since the Cleveland fans are watching as well...

Eli Morgan has had a legitimately great spring...
Kind of curious that Quantrill is on the mound this afternoon but is supposedly our #3 pitcher as listed by Mandy (could have been her guess). So, yes if Plesac goes tomorrow, he can take the 2nd game on Sat. But, doesn't make sense for Quantrill to wait 7 days vs 6 days by flip-flopping them.

Morgan hasn't given up a run this spring... At least in the role of reliever from the pen, I think he will be pretty effective...
