The Donovan Peoples-Jones Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Why dont team's hire ex college QB's that didnt make it to throw balls to WR's some?

Those coach's arms cant be anywhere close to what a ex college qb can do...although i know allot of coaches did play qb at some point.

We have about 20 ex-Browns QBs who didn't make it, although Frye is employed as a coach elsewhere, Brady is in Media, Colt is still a backup QB and "Let's Go!" Brandon Weeden is about 87 years old.

Weeden at his age still has a cannon (and about as accurate as a cannon from 1700). If his red hair wasnt so distracting, he would be a perfect example of what I am talking about.

Cannons in 1700 were much more accurate than Brandon Weeden. Ask the Swedes. Do we have any Swedish military experts in the house?

He can't step up anymore than he has without being thrown the ball...
Yeah he's had a productive season considering his targets. But I mean step up in the sense that he should be WR1 now

How does a player make themselves a WR1, other than produce in moments he gets?

You intentionally being dense or what?

DPJ will be getting more snaps.
DPJ has done tremendous in his limited role so far.
DPJ should be getting more targets and more opportunities.
DPJ can step up with those new opportunities to cement himself as WR1.

I wasn't implying DPJ hasn't been capitalizing on his limited role. I was just saying his role will increase and his opportunities to make plays and make a positive impact should increase as well.

My initial response was:

He can't step up anymore than he has without being thrown the ball...

In the time he's been given, he's been stellar. A "bang bang" play that resulted in a fumble is the only negative play I can remember him making in 2yrs. I can remember his 2 TDs against Arizona that were as "manly" as it gets, though. Almost every catch he makes is impressive (literally).

"Stepping up" isn't on him. It's on Baker, Stefanski, AVP and O'Shea. You can call that being "intentionally dense" if you want. I call it putting the onus on the right people.

There was just a misunderstanding of what I meant by stepping up. I didn't mean for it to be a negative like he wasn't carrying his weight.
