The Redd Watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Lebron is trying hard for redd

The worst part of that article was when I read that Redd is represented by a Poston brother.

You know he is going to push for Milwaukee and the bigger money.

Re: Karl: redd returning to bucks

Why would George Karl know what Redd is up to? I know he used to coach him, but still, I don't think their relationship is that ongoing. And, there haven't been any reports of Redd talking to Denver, whatsoever.

And he says.. "he has heard" Blah. I heard Redd is coming to Cleveland. Ya heard?

Re: Karl: redd returning to bucks

Perhaps that's what he'll ultimately do, but I don't think he'd be coming to cleveland to talk to the cavs if he had already decided.

Re: Karl: redd returning to bucks

garbage karl doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, why would redd come here leaving everyone in suspense if he didn't plan on even signing, also how would karl know before anyone else being that the nuggets are less involved with redd then cleveland is, my guess is karl doesn't know anything more then we do ...

Re: Lebron is trying hard for redd

im watching fox8 hoping they are outside gund arena or something with some inside info....cmon rizz get us some news..when the butch davis firing and teh kellen winslow stuff happened tehy were outside the berea complex..hopefully we find out something this is wrecking my summer lol im constantly thinking about this...

Re: Karl: redd returning to bucks

He knew that before he visited the Cavs..yeah...sure..

Re: Lebron is trying hard for redd

chicago and gman brought up some good points. if he wanted money he would have already signed with the bucks. he knows and we know what he is going to get from both teams so whats the wait.

bruce-redd is going to get the max so their wont be to much negotating.

Re: Lebron is trying hard for redd

Cavincali has it right on. There is no room to negotiate. Both offers are max offers period. The fact that Redd did not take the bucks offer is huge, since if he takes it, it will help the bucks land a quality coach. His delay hurts the bucks.

It will boil down to how he gets on with Brown, Ferry and Lebron.

It will also be interesting to see what becomes of Luke if we succeed with Redd. IMO he becomes a tradable player with Redd on board. We could see a dru/luke trade for a muscle boy at the 4.

Re: Lebron is trying hard for redd

i at least want to know what we would be giving up in a luke jackson before we throw a postage stamp on him.

i think the kid has some real talent, and it would be a true shame to give him up- without at least knowing what we have...

Re: Lebron is trying hard for redd

Well it is only a what if. But the choices are Luke or Pavlovich. (I am not sure Newble has a lot of trade value) Of these two, we know what we have in Pavlovich, but not in Luke, so if a team is willing to trade an attitude player for an upside, I think luke has more value. I think we are not interested in gambles. We have Lebron, and if we can nail down Redd, we have a known contender. The next step is Z, but that is not as big an if as if not Z then we have a lot of money to throw around for a quality center, and we are still a serious contender. Actually if we don't get Z we are likely to get more depth with our money in the end.

Ok, I thought about it, and it still makes PERFECT sense. I think maybe YOU should think about it.

Do you really think that LEBRON JAMES, the biggest superstar and icon on the planet, does not have some say at Nike? Like the Cavs, Nike also wants to keep LeBron happy. And Nike has the right to advertise their client as they see fit.

I don't think they're helping out with the actual contract... but the fact is he would get a ton more endorsements in Cleveland then non-exhistant markerts like Milwakee (possibly the least marketable team in the league.) It's not dumb at all. It's life. Just like LeBron would be getting more if he was on the Lakers because Los Angelos is more marketable. Redd also would get probably 10 times as many games on national TV in Cleveland, which would make him much more well known and popular. Which leads to better selling jerseys and other items. That leads to more money in Redds pocket. All LeBron would be doing, in my opinion, would be having Nike make it clear for Redd what he'd get from them if he comes to Cleveland and becomes more marketable. Example- I live in Arizona. Even here, I see more Cavs jerseys then ANY other team. In Pheonix. More then the Suns, Lakers, Knicks, and especially the Bucks. In fact, i've never seen a single person away from an actual Bucks game in one of their jerseys.

How can you call that stupid? You must not understand marketing very much.

Im sure Redd is aware of the money that is gonna be able to be made if he came to cleveland. im very into shoes, there are very big shoe forums on the net and i check them out and i havent heard any of this ever even being mentioned.
