The Restaurant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They sure were. I tried a couple different ones and they were wonderfully balanced. Also love that they offer spirit-free variations on some of them. Wife is abstaining from alcohol right now but she really enjoyed her drink too.
agreed. when I went my friends wife was pregnant but was still able to enjoy some drinks

Anybody know where I can find some bone marrow on the menu?
Not sure where you live but dante boccuzzi in Akron serves it or at least they did pre-covid so call beforehand if that's all you are really craving.

I like El Rinconcito Chapin in Old Brooklyn for good fast guatamalen food. Thier burrito with mango salsa is pretty tasty, although the carnitas can be hit or miss. Good yucca fries, my 1 year old likes them.
Halfmoon Bakery on 25th across from Metro health is amazing. Best Cubano I have ever had, always awesome. Someone needs to buy them a new entry door.

Serenite in Medina is terrific. My wife and I went there for the first time a few months ago, and have been back since, it's so good.

They have a great story. It's part of a drug and alcohol rehab center, and the goal is to provide recovering addicts with a road to a new career. The restaurant is staffed by recovering addicts.

The restaurant itself is great -- terrific food in a great atmosphere. If you didn't know the backstory, you'd never know it from the restaurant itself. (They do have a complete bar menu -- it's not like you can't get a bottle of wine or beer or whatever.)

If they have the seafood chowder available (it is not listed on the menu, but they've had it both times we've visited), GET IT. One of the best things I have ever eaten in my life.

Cleveland second in pizza in the US? I feel the pizza here isn't good. I have been here my whole life and can barely find great pizza

Guess you’ve never been to Il Rione. The speck pie is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.

Also has fantastic pies at Cent’s (Ohio City/Shoreway border), Vero (Cleveland Heights) and Geraci’s (east side).

il Rione is great. Also happens to be the location of one of my favorite Cavaliers photos.

I haven't been to Pizza 216 over by East 4th St, but I've heard good things about it as well. Harlow's in Lakewood looks good too.

Mama Santa’s in little Italy and Ohio Pie in Rocky River are my two favorites
We have an Ohio Pie by us as well -- agree that it is very good.

Also Samosky's in Valley City (just down the road a bit from us) makes a terrific Philly cheesesteak pizza.

Agree with @NorthCoastBias 's reco above on Geraci's - will have to check out the others.

Pizza is such an individual thing though. I definitely prefer thicker crusts (Chicago-style deep dish is my favorite) -- but there's plenty of room for New York-style thinner crust as well, and everything in between.

If you want a tremendous Italian dinner, Aldos in Brooklyn is amazing. It's a small, intimate restaurant but it's not necessarily fancy. It's one of those terrific mom and pop genuine Italian restaurants.
