The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Taking the plunge and getting my boys a Nintendo Switch for Xmas. They are 4 and 7 - any recommendations on games that’d be great for that age? Thinking games where being a strong reader isn’t required to enjoy the game.

I’ve already gotten Mario Kart and Super Mario Odyssey. Anything else?
Zelda Link's Awakening is really good and should be accessible for the 7 year old.

Zelda Breath of the Wild is by far and away the greatest game I have ever played and I have been playing games since Atari was a thing. Way too complex for a 4 year old, and maybe for a 7 year old, but I recommend for you that amazing game.

Just a heads up...Cyperpunk drops sometime in the next two hours or so on Steam.

Does that mean you'll be able to play it in two hours even with a preload? I have no fucking clue. I know there's a giant day one patch.

Regardless, this is your heads up!

Any reason to believe it drops before 7PM Eastern?

I thought it was a global launch at midnight GMT, and the store page of Steam even has a giant countdown timer.

Ready to enjoy the game and not worry about the social issues the game refuses to address properly.

Kind of surprised my old PC can run Cyberpunk at all, let alone in a reasonably playable manner. I prefer it on GeForce Now, though, since I've got a founders membership and can basically run the game almost flawlessly on all high settings there.

Early impressions are positive. I went with the corpo background and played around two hours last night. Only had one annoying glitch where an email popup wouldn't leave my screen for about five minutes. It didn't take up a ton of screen space and eventually disappeared. I'm not far enough into the game to have any impressions on the story, but the writing and voice acting have been solid thus far.

PC is the only way to play it. As of now, the last gen of console version is terrible and in some instances, unplayable.

Yeah I was reading an article about how terrible the console versions are. Not surprising, especially at launch.
It'll just join my backlog of games until I get a series x next spring. No major loss, but I'd like to customize my 19" penis.

I'm enjoying the cries of the woke tho. "It's not inclusive enough" "It doesn't make me feel like the non binary Apache helicopter that I think I am"

I've honestly been surprised by how polished the game has been after reading so many reviews that talked about little other than the glitches. That day one patch must have ironed out a lot of the issues.

If I get it now, will I be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free?

Pretty sure CDProjectRed said upgrade would be free when next gen versions drop.

Mine comes today (went physical copy). I have a One X, so we'll see how it plays.

I'm still rocking a 2600K with a 1080ti, at 1440p, ultra everything (obviously no ray-tracing) and I'm getting about 45FPS.

I went streetkid, played about 6 hours so far, and am enjoying it. Biggest bug is when I put on a certain hat, I just appear bald--no hat, and no hair.

Installing the update, will jam it tonight.

probably the last game I buy this current gen.
- well, I guess it’s previous gen now. 2021 will have to be the year I snag at least one of the new rigs. Would like to build a new PC too.
