The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I did pick Elden Ring back up the other day after the trailer. Fortunately I left off just before the final boss battle on whatever NG+ playthrough I was on. Went and did some side quest stuff I must have skipped on this playthrough so I could get the hang of things again. The first couple hours were rough :chuckle: After that though was cruising pretty easily. After that it didn't take more than a few tries to beat the final boss. Didn't lock the ending yet though as I want to maintain flexibility just incase anything is needed for the DLC. (Not to mention, I'd currently get the "bad" Frenzied Flame ending because I like how it lights your eyes up).

Anyway, was fun diving back in for another 5-10 hours to get the swing of things again. And I'll probably have to do it again come June :chuckle:

Yeah, I had stopped my ER playthrough to wait for the dlc but it sounds like it’s going to be endgame content, so I may as well keep playing.

I'm now remembering how difficult it is to play - anything - else after playing Elden Ring :chuckle:

The average game is just a fucking joke in comparison.

The past few days I just keep going back for more :chuckle:

True of pretty much all the Souls games for me. I just can’t get enough. I want to go back and beat Dark Souls 3 after I finish Elden Ring. These games just test my patience so it’s hard to mainline them… but at the same time nothing really compares.

Wonder what From is working on besides SotE right now. Hopefully more lol

Just installed Enshrouded. Hard for me to get into non-pvp games these days, but enjoying it so far.

Helldivers.

Finally gave into peer pressure and installed it and proceeded to play for four hours before I knew where time went.

Not sure what the long-term prospects of a strictly co-op PvE game are going to be, but at least for right now it’s a ton of fun and more than worth the $40 price tag.

Almost feel like these types of games are easier to maintain than PvP ones that require constant balancing.

Vermintide 2 has enjoyed a long life cycle. I’m sure they can keep Helldivers 2 going for years and years, and they sound very invigorated by its success and were already ramping up content plans to align with its surprise explosion.

I haven't played it because frankly it’s a coop game and I have no friends who I can actually count on to routinely log into video games. But it looks fun.

Got back into FE: Engage with a fresh save this past week. I'm already at the same point I was the first time around. I think I'm playing it better, but I never know with games like this and their millions of systems and stats and ways to increase those stats.

How is Engage? I have played every translated version of the series and I love 3H but could not convince myself to try Engage. I still cant get over the protaganist's hair for one

"Finished" Starfield. Solid space adventure game where the side stories seemed to wrap up better than the main story.

Hopping back to Hades and started Tales of Arise.

I just started arise like 2 weeks ago. It's not bad

I love how it's just a bunch of princes, princesses, their retainers, and a god/goddess travelling around a region collecting jewelry to defeat another dragon god. :chuckle:

That sounds like a familiar plot (looking a u fe8, fe6, fe13, fe14)

It's solid, but I liked three houses a bit better!
