Trade Deadline Day - 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So you're placing Arias ahead of Tyler Freeman?

Those more educated on our farm can correct me if I am mistaken, but I believe Freeman is seen as a future 2B

So if Lindor goes in the offseason are we doing a mini 1-2 year rebuild? Going to be a lot of youth.

There has definitely been a thought that he might not stick at SS (not to mention a few other, better short stops right behind him), but most believe his bat and glove will play well at the Keystone -- yes!

Yes ... so Miller becomes our utility after Freeman and Arias are ready ... Miller maybe ready next year as he was AA last year (if he needs to replace Lindor or Hernandez short term). Freeman and Arias were A+ last year ... so need AA/AAA time next year until they are ready.

It's also easy to forget Yu Chang, who has been on our roster all year. He'd likely get a crack at an everyday job should one open up.

There are lots of questions yet to be answered on the financial state of baseball, not just the Tribe...but no, I believe the Indians will be competing in 2021 with or without Lindor...pitching will remain quite good..

A nice highlight video of Naylor. You can see his advanced approach on a few clips, one where he goes the other way to beat the shift (and drive in a run) and another where he lines an oppo homerun on an outside fastball. You also see his athleticism and “deceptive speed” on a few base running plays (even a steal) and a play in the outfield. His power potential shows as well as I think they included every homerun he’s ever hit. Franmil even makes an appearance at 1:35 getting smacked in the face by Naylor during a homerun celebration

So, is the Tribe done for the day? Probably yes, but I am still hoping for Bradley/Pillar, or some other incremental upgrade in Center.

I hope they can get a CF too. They’re going to have to cut people to make room on the roster anyway. Would be nice to spin off a few pieces to upgrade CF.

I wish there seemed to be more viable candidates...seemingly slim pickings with so many in playoff hunt.

Robbie Ray on the move...not a big return.

No word on Pillar or Bradley as yet....as both are Free Agents to be, it is hard to imagine Red Sox holding on to them.

C'mon Cherny! Get a good piece or 2 for Hand while the getting is good.
