Trade ideas: Offseason edition

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well, absolutely nobody intimated that you should do that.

Do you want to try again, or should we just put this one to rest?
I think you & I will have to agree to disagree. The difference is I'll keep an open mind and watch Kuminga, rooting for the kid to succeed, rather than as a skeptic. Have a great day.

We know the Suns covet Nance. We know the Cavs have a logjam at the 4.

Trading our best vet presence who loves Cleveland would be a tough pill to swallow. But Cam gives us the perfect 3&D guy that we so desperately need, and we can see how Jalen Smith develops as a backup 4/5.

Gotta give something to get something.

As much as I like, and want to keep, LNJ, I'd likely do this deal.

That said, I think the Cavaliers need more than a 3-and-D guy at SF. I'd love to see them get a 20+ppg scorer that can get his own shot. A lesser Khris Middleton would be great (an actual Khris Middleton would be ideal).

How about this 3-way trade:

To CLE: Cam Reddish, 2024 1st from MIA (unprotected), & pick swap options in 2025 or 2026.

To MIA: Collin Sexton

To ATL: Tyler Herro

I'd rather keep Sexton to be honest. Would definetly want a better package for him.

How about:

to CLE: Michael Porter, Jr. & Zeke Nnaji

to DEN: Collin Sexton & Larry Nance, Jr

I tend to doubt Denver would do this, which kinda encompasses the issue with trading Sexton.

I wonder if you can use Sexton -> Philadelphia in part of a Simmons -> Golden State Trade. I understand that we aren't really connected to Kuminga, which is probably the downside because it is the most reasonable thing GS has to offer...

I guess something along the lines of this (if we decided not to match an offer on Allen):

That's better, but Porter Jr. has a bad back. I think it has some risk.

I think Sexton is more valuable to us, compared to his value on the trade market.

How much cap space do we have right now! Bobby Portis declined his player option and the most the Bucks can offer him is $5.9! He might be a nice piece

I might be bashed for thinking this, but i'd rather have portis than allen. This guy is a taller tristan thompson with a jump shot.

Somebody suggested this already a few weeks back. I really like this trade and it makes sense for both teams.

I live out in Arizona. I presented this trade to some of my friends who are Suns fans. Their reaction was essentially the same as mine:

"Uhhh man, we really love Cam and it's tough to give him up, but push comes to shove and I'd probably do that deal."

As Larry David says, the best compromises are the ones where both sides are left dissatisfied. I think it makes a lot of sense, even if it stings at first for both sides.

Forget who it was that said it, but if both team's fans are a little disappointed with the trade, it means it probably has a good chance of happening and is realistic.

Fedor mentioned today that Gary Trent jr was on the long list of wing players the Cavz could be interested in. What are people’s thoughts on Trent Jr? Seems more like a guard to me. Not much of a rebounder but the kid can fill it up

Hes a restricted (correct me if I'm wrong) free agent and absolutely a SG...Fedor mentioned GTJ to get clicks. There's absolutely zero chance he signs an offer sheet here.
