Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm looking for contenders who could use Thompson. Maybe Miami? They have a good center in Bam Adebayo (15.8 pts, 10.4 rebounds in 34 minutes), but he is the only center listed on their roster. They're tied with Boston for second place in the East. TT would fit in perfectly with their hard-nosed style of play.

Miami has a hole at PF where Myers Leonard has started all 39 games but only averages 20 minutes and 6.0 points. He and Kelley Olynyk basically split the position, each getting 20 minutes. I don't know who plays center when Bam sits down.

I'm not familiar with the Western Conference.

As for signing TT beyond this season, I'm wondering if he would be agreeable if the Cavs were the only team to guarantee him a starting job and if he saw a lot of progress in the second half of this season.
Cant take the risk if he just walks at end of year. Koby needs to see his top 5 teams he would want to go too and try to accommodate. Tt deserves that

Not sure if TT helps against Milwaukee, but he would be big for Miami against the Celtics or Philly. Fits the team conceptually very well. he'd look good in their defend and run system

Does he really though? Let’s not forget he held out his contract year and used his leverage of there being no better options, which lead (in my opinion) to a huge overpay. I thank him for all he’s done for the franchise, but I’ll never forget how out of shape and bad he was the last year lebron was here. Hasn’t really worked on any aspects of his game (never developed a jumper). Move him to what ever team gives us the best offer. It’s not like he’s some aging superstar who wants to go home, he still has value.

Not really like he’s done any favors or taken a salary cut to help out the team.

Ok. Screw him.

He was never asked to be a scorer. His job was to get rebounds and defend. I don't understand, why every player has to score when you need people to defend and grab rebounds. This been going on before I was born.

What hurts Tristan is his size because he has trouble defending taller and athletic centers.

If you're saying we need to trade Tristan, so we could get a taller and more athletic center in the draft. I would agree with that statement.

Ideally you want a good to great garbage man as a center. If he can defend AND hit 3's all the better. Allstar at center is the worst position to have a star

That's why it's crucial for them to get the right big man in the draft.

I like his value as a veteran presence, Tristan has always been a good guy, gets along with everyone. He knows what it takes to win and what it takes to make it in this league. Wouldn't mind keeping him around, plus if we draft a big, Tristan can buy him some time and help him develop. I think he's probably worth a decent contract.

I wouldn't have an issue,if the Cavs find a way to re-sign Tristan. He's been more of a leader than Mr. Talc but the Cavs still need to draft a center..

The code that @Ben unleashed to turn A-M-I-C-O into TBW is worthy of a donation by itself. Seeing it in the thumbnail quote is next-level funny.

Turner would be an incredible return for TT. Turner is 23, fits a rebuilding schedule, and is good even if he's not great. He would be a great piece of the puzzle next to a star you get with a high draft pick. TT is a complementary player on a playoff team and we aren't going to be a playoff team before TT starts to decline physically.

How are we getting Myles Turner? I don't see us having the assets for him,,unless we are ok with dealing picks.

We aren't. I'm still trying figure out where this stupid rumor started. Indiana is not dealing Turner for TT. It makes them worse and Turner is younger and locked up for another 3 years at a team friendly rate.
