Z is waiting

You may be right. Z should take a big pay cut. But in his mind (in reality really) he is an allstar center who's contract is up. He is looking to be paid accordingly. He is better then Magliore, Dalembert and Curry. His style of game helps out LeBron a hell of a lot. You guys want to treat him like he is a replacable role player. That cannot be further from the truth. You only have to read article's by sensible reporters like Terry Pluto to understand his worth. But again Z's lack of star power works against him. I also love how people say Z sat on his arse for years just collecting his paycheck. Clueless!

BEFORE YOU READ THIS, KEEP IN MIND THAT I WANT Z BACK!!

Do you really think his game helps Bron out a lot? I'm not sure, because I've never seen him (Bron) with someone else. I wish Diop could have stayed out of foul troube, because I think Bron would be better suited with a defensive-minded center. I'm not sure how Z's 15 foot jumpers help out Bron at all. He's crazy slow (not that there are many 7'3" guys that are fleet of foot) and it seems at times like the game REALLY slows down when Z is in.

I would love to see Bron with someone like Ben Wallace. I think Dalembert is probably the closest to that, but that is mainly on potential. Why did Diop have to be such a bust!

Look fellas. I want Z on the smallest contract possible to help us attain other free agents. But I believe he could turn his back if we offer him something that would offend any reighning all star. I hate the consequenses.

I'm sure if teams like the lakers, twolves, and most of the teams who made the playoffs, had cap space, there would be a bidding war for Z. it's unfortunate for him, but fortunate for us, that his options are limited. Stay put and contend, take less to leave, or go to the hawks and return to the cellar of the NBA. It's also fortunate for us that taking less to leave also means not playing with Jasikevicius. But like i said above, we better not push those advantages too hard.

and how interested are the hawks anyways?

they will offer JJ the max which the suns will match, Now they are talking to Curry. These are two RESTRICTED free agents. Z is unrestricted which should make him much more desireable.

So you didn't notice that Ilgauskas was the only player who took attention of Lebron James? Hmmm.........

Fact is Z is probably still or best shooter currently. We are all talking up getting shooters on this team, yet we discard Z. Puzzling. Double this up with the fact he is a good low post scorer who creates foul trouble consistently on the oppositon and make them pay at the line. We need a low post offensive presense and a shooter to clear room for Hughes and James. Why throw away a combination of both those things?

You know what I say now...Screw Z yeah I said it and I will probably catch more heat than Richard Pryor for this but I don't care. We paid him 42 mill to sit at the end of the bench and be a spectator. Now he doesn't even have the common courtesy to lessen his pay day so we can put a better product on the court. And he has the b@||$ to go on a vacation for 3 weeks? Dedicated players workout daily, LeBron has been working out in Akron and many others like Jackson at Oregon and stuff. And at Z's age he is going to sit all summer and come back with a fat new deal and have to get in shape during preseason? Thats a joke and has the nerve to whine about why his deal isn't getting done? Gee I donno why maybe cuz he is on the back of an Alpaca somewhere in the Mountains and his cell phone lost reception. If he cared about getting this thing done he would meet with Ferry face to face until it was done everyone knows you accomplish more talking with someone face to face then you can over a phone. His agent is a shrewd waste of flesh who makes the Postons look charitable. I say we skip 8-12 million on a bloated contract that will last 5 years when in 5 years he could be in a body cast with arthritis, he is going to be sustaining more injuries and in a conference with Shaq and Big Ben his body is going to endure a lot more then he will be able to handle. So why don't we skip this persue a young Eddy Curry who has vowed to lose weight and who is only 22 years old, or maybe persue Jerome James this guy was lights out in the post season, and if it doesn't work out its only a 3-6 mill contract. Where in Z's case we know for a fact in 3 years he will be in bad physical shape. I don't get where everyone is getting this idea that we owe Z. I really don't he got 42 million free dollars from us and we never griped about it one bit we never even got any compensation from the league for it I don't think if you remember the knicks got 4 mill when McDyess' knee gave out. We don't owe Z if anything he owes us. The only way I would be alright with him signing is if he bumped it down to around 6 mill per or we landed Sarunas or it is a short term deal. Other wise I'm sayin farewell Z it was real...

The Hawks are talking to all key free agents. Ilgauskas is one of those. Just like we made offers to dozens of players. The Hawks are the sluts of the NBA right now.

I know he took the pressure off Bron, but with Hughes jacking up shots, how much will Z be able to hold the ball? Seriously -- Z needs a lot of touches to be effective. If we sign JseasefivkeCabbage, what kind of point is he? Anyone on here that says they know are BSing. The guy has been in Europe for what...4 or 5 years? Does teh YesTheCabbageIs guy have to get into teh flow by scoring (think McInnis, when he was effective) to be effective? If he does, there are more shots away from Z.

Again, I want Z back, I'm just throwing my concerns out there for if we have Z at 14 million in 2010 and everyone is bitching about the dead cap weight we are carrying.

About your "why throw" question....I have one for you. Why throw a boomerang when it comes back to you all the time? What's the point of that. By the way - I ate out Outback last week!

fact is they haven't offered him a thing. And they will offer Curry a contract before Z...

Z is not allowed to work out in the offseason - at least he's not allowed to play basketball. And I'm sure insurance covered his salary while he was out. That's one of the issues with a new deal, they can't get it insured. I suspect they are trying to structure it so they can get it at least partially insured.

What a funny read CavsDawgsTribe. LOL.

Lets not sign Z for 8-10 million and pay Cuury 12 million to play no defense, grab no boards, and explode offensively every 5 or so games. Or better still sign Jerome James who has had less good games then seasons in the NBA.

Why would you want the only player who has been working out at the Gund every day who has the hide to go on a holiday? I cant believe Z has the right to have an agent. They are scum.

please karma.... it's ladies of the evening

CavsDawgsTribe -- great point about Z vacationing for 3 weeks. I didn't even think of that. That dumpy giant could spend a few weeks in the weight room so he doesn't get pushed around on the block!

My nipples are rubbed raw. PIMP MY RIDE AND REP ME!

Lose your inside presesne pressure on Lebron and Hughes is immense. Donut teams dont go far.

BTW - if we sign Jerome James (I don't care if it is for the league minimum), I'll boycott all year by only using Jerome James Cavs jersies as toilet paper. That guy is a friggin cancer and he only plays when it is a contract year (and even this year that took into the playoffs for that to kick in).
